Via Cibo — Restaurant in Toronto

Unfortunately, I am NO longer eating at this place (via cibo, North York location) even though I love everything on their menu. After the last review i made about their no A/C , I went back a few days later and they had A/C, I was so happy because they have listened to me, they care about their customers. I haven’t been there in a while so I recently went to dine in. The service was amazing and so is the food.. but the real problem was when I found out how terrible the workers are treated… some of the workers haven’t been paid in months, haven’t even gotten their T4 slips; its being withheld from them, some workers are getting lower wages because of their race or ethnicity. I used to love this place so much but now i feel upset even thinking about eating at a place like this who treats their workers as garbage and worthless. I was planning to have my birthday party at via cibo during the summer but i cannot support this establishment any longer… I am sick to my stomach because i was also going to apply to work there because i love the food so much but if this is how they treat their workers I cannot be...

2 orders of pasta and a brownie for $56 what a total rip off. Ordered linguine with sausage and I was given spagetti noodles, the sausage was tiny little pieces. Lol was cold, soggy and all it tasted like was pure garlic. The penne with chicken same, over cooked pasta and barely any chicken. Both dishes really had no flavor except for garlic. This used to be my favourite place to get pesto pasta. I’ve ordered from her many times and today I was so disappointed. My pasta had no sauce on it and tasted like just oil, it was inedible. There’s no way to contact the location to try and rectify the issue either. Looks like it’s some sort of shared kitchen space. I won’t be ordering from here again.
