A La Sha is now 100% my go-to hair salon after my visit. I recently wanted a total change with my hair, I've never gotten anything more than a trim in my life so I wanted someone who I know would do a good job. After doing some research I decided on A La Sha and all of my expectations were blown out of the water. Everything they did was absolutely perfect. Aya and Toshi were so welcoming and warm, I felt like I've been going to that salon my whole life. They would always make sure that I was comfortable and knew what was going on/how long all the procedures would take. They were so gentle and never pulled on my hair once. Sanitization: Everything was super clean and organized. They were wearing masks the whole time and had a hand sanitizing station by the door. They were constantly keeping things tidy. Cut: My hair was cut by Aya. She brought up the fact that I could donate my hair which I loved, I was so happy that was an option. She was super open to what I wanted and was sure to tell me all the options that I could've gone with and how she would execute each. She was very careful and detailed with cutting my hair and got the length absolutely perfect. Bleach: Before bleaching my hair, Aya applied a protectant to my hair which I thought was super great. Both Aya and Toshi applied the bleach to my hair and they were so thorough with it, they were able to cover my whole head in no time. They applied it consistently across my whole head and were able to get right into the roots without having any feelings of itchiness or discomfort on my part. Wash: Aya washed my hair and she was able to get right into my scalp with the products and really work out the bleach/toner leaving my hair super soft. Toning: Aya applied the toner to my hair, and again, just like the bleach she was so thorough and consistent across my whole head. She was able to blend it all perfectly without it looking patchy or anything. There was not a spot on my head that didn't have any toner. Blow-Dry: Aya and Toshi both dried my hair and they were both so gentle and thorough with it. Once that was complete Aya did some final touches to make sure that it was absolutely perfect which I really liked. Overall I am so happy that I went to A La Sha Hair Salon and got to meet Aya and Toshi. They completely exceeded my expectations and I will always highly recommend them to others. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreā ļøā ļø 1st off I was a new customer & figured my best bet was to book an appt with Mari, as she had wonderful reviews& is the owner. I also recently had gone through some serious health issues which resulted in hair damage. I was hoping to get some helpful tips As it says right in their ad "they offer solid advice on how to keep hair healthy". The 1st red flag was finding out almost half way thru that she wasn't Mari & that Mari wasn't even there! Like, WHAT!?š¬ She was a persian lady who also seemed to not hav a good grip on her English bcuz she seemed to be nodding & smiling as i asked her questions & explained my situation š¤ Then while I waited under a lamp she attended to another customer who clearly was unsatisfied as she hesitantly tried to communicate to this lady to fix some areas of concern she had but she just replied in a patronizing way, that she couldnt understand what was wrong with how she had cut it!! š² The poor shy girl decided to scramble out of there b4 any further damage ensued.š As she turned her attention back to me & let my hair down, I began to notice that it was not shaping out to be what I had showed & discussed with her.šWhen I brought this up she also became condescending𤨠towards me, just as she had with the previous customer; I too ended up just wanting nothing more than 2 remove myself from this situation b4 things became worse. So my hair is now much shorter & it was cut choppy & bluntly. She had 2b using either very blunt shears or regular scissors. How does she have no knowledge of the type of shears to use? I would expect this from a student or budget cut store. I held back tearsš„ŗ as I looked at the horror she had inflicted upon my hair. It looked nothing like the picture I showed her. In fact it looked like an older ladies hairstyle!! š¢I immediately burst into tears as I quickly left & placed a hat on to cover up my hair. This was supposed 2b a step in finally beginning 2 nourish my soul, practice some self love & hopefully get some advice on hair health after a long depleting illness.š„ Now I have to wear a hat as I wait until it grows out enough to attempt another cut.šŖ I wish I had read this review:...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGave this place a go because of all the good reviews, unfortunately I had a different experience. I went in for a root touch up to get rid of some greys. The lady had me sit then started taking pictures of my hair. I figured perhaps itās for some before/after. She then proceeded to make a phone call in a different language, then gave me the phone to speak to the person on the line who was Mari. She asked what I wanted making sure I want a root color not root highlights as my hair is highlighted. I said just the color.. she said something about cool color which I said yes to as I didnāt want brown that turns brassy. I hung up the phone and the lady at the salon asked if Mari was coming.. I had no idea what was going on I figured Mari was doing my hair and sheās running late. Next thing I know the lady at the salon comes back with color and begins coloring my roots. There was no discussion as to what color I wanted, mind you the lady who later said was from Iran only spoke a little English but claimed to have 14 (?) years experience. I figured what the hell at least it will cover the greys but as I see her work it looked like sheās missing some spots. Sure enough I ended up with brassy roots and gray still showing in multiple spots. Like Iām sure I could have done a better job with a box of dye from shoppers. The charge was about double than what was listed at the time of booking which I figured would be a little more but if itās double it would be nice if it was communicated. The lady at the salon also asked if it was roots only and I said yes plus a trim (the trim wasnāt added to my original booking) at the end she was already blow drying with a round brush so it was obvious she forgot I said a trim as well or she didnāt understand. I didnāt want to remind her as I was already not happy...
