Edit: changes review to four star because 1) I appreciate that they reached out to me. I didn't respond though, because I'm trying to get free things or anything. 2) I went back to the store a couple more times since and had a much better experience. Hopefully it was just the one employee who had a terrible attitude.

--

There's always someone working here on Monday evenings with the worst attitude. The first time I ordered with her she whispered something to the girl at the bar and they both gave me side eye. Maybe because I didn't tip? Well if I didn't want to before I definitely don't want to now. It was odd but I didn't think anything of it at the time and gave her the benefit of the doubt since it is Monday evening after all. I have class across the road every Monday so I kept coming back.

Happened a couple more times after that so I didn't go back for a while. Today was definitely confirmation that her attitude is seriously sour. Did the usual order and I paused after I paid waiting for her to say "all good" or "thanks" but there was no exchange of eye contact or any words. She glared at the recepit then completely blanked me. I asked "is it good to go" and all I got was a condescending "yes" as if I've spat in her face. I observed a few more transactions and same thing happened with those customers. Thanks for ruining everyone's evening! No one is entitled to tip you! Everyone works hard in this city and if you don't think you're paid enough do something else about it instead of taking it out...

Trees Organic Coffee on Granville Street is a haven for coffee lovers and seekers of cozy warmth amidst the city’s bustle. This little gem exudes character, with its inviting brick walls, soft lighting, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee that greets you the moment you walk in. The atmosphere here is both lively and serene, making it the perfect escape for an early morning ritual or an afternoon retreat.

I ordered a Pumpkin cheesecake for my sons birthday on Hallowe'en. When I opened the box the top of the cake was kind of cracked, that sometimes happens with cheesecakes. When we tasted it, I was so incredibly disappointed (I swear the story does get better) As I bit into my first bite it was like I had been force fed cloves. It was truly over powering. If there was any pumkin in this cheesecake its flavour was truly hidden by the over powering clove and maybe ginger My son put up a brave front but I was terribly disappointed. I decided to call the next day. The manager was not in, so I left a message with a very positive and sympathic sales associate. I did not expect a call back, I just wanted to let them know, perhaps it was one cake out of several that were made at the same time. I really wasn't expecting to be called back The manager called me that same day, and not only did she express how sorry she was for my experience but offered either a full refund, or to pick any other cake. I am so grateful that I chose the latter as the Tiramisu cheesecake was FANTASTIC!! Thank you for being the type of business that fully understands good customer service, that has faith in your product and for your incredibly delicious Tiramisu cheesecake! (See, told you it...

Stumbled upon this place while making my way to waterfront/steam clock. Saw a sign outside which had some drinks that looked good. Unfortunately they all had coffee in them which I don't drink. But I did see their different types of cheesecakes inside and figured I should try one since they looked pretty good. I got the Mango cheesecake which was pretty good. They definitely like to make it look good by putting it on a nice plate and making it look fancy. Maybe an excuse for charging so much for them maybe haha. I wouldn't buy it on a regular basis because of the price but for once in a blue moon or if your visiting while on vacation (like I was) it was pretty good. Can't say anything about the drinks though because I don't drink coffee. Also the coffee bean grinder/mixer in the corner looked pretty cool as well.

Too full to check out the big cheesecake commotion, so opted for a hot chocolate instead. A nice warm, cozy and laid back vibe with nice decor... this joint is pretty dope and a great place to hang especially when it's cold out. The hot chocolate was pretty tasty, but I was disappointed that it was only luke-warm and therefore all the syrup congealed at the bottom. I do like how they don't charge extra for soy milk which is pretty awesome. Note, the hot chocolate is dark chocolate syrup-based. Cheesecakes do look pretty rad. Support local businesses!

Tree Organic Coffee shop is located on Granville St., one of the busiest street Downtown. I went to this Cafe with my boyfriend on his birthday. The cafe is very small and there are not many cake selections. There are not many seats inside, so you’d better to order food to go. We have to the dessert and then bring it to go. We’ve ordered $8 Chocoholic Cheesecake to share. The cheesecake was so soft. I am preferred to eat the bottom part more. It tasted fresh and sweet, but not much like Chocolate flavour.
