My husband and I were sitting at lunch on the last day of our trip, we were exhausted from whale watching that morning and a very busy week. When my husband saw the sticker for Ghostly Walks, I wasnât enthused. I wanted to go to bed early because we had to be up early to head home. But he booked the 9pm tour and was excited. Why not, right? Iâll sleep when Iâm dead (see what I did there?) We met up with our guide, Christopher and immediately my cranky mood changed. He was engaging and funny and energetic. It was impossible not to have fun from the second we started. We learned a ton of history of the city (including our hotel!) and had a lot of fun. Got to experience a true skeptic in our group have an experience that challenged those views! That was really great to see. Ghost tours in any city are a great way to learn in a really great way about where youâre visiting. I was not wanting to go out and doing so made for the best last night I couldâve imagined. We will absolutely go again! Have to, way too much we...
Read moreLet me start by saying that our guide was an amazing storyteller and the tour itself was interesting. It takes talent to tell stories like she did! However, her demeanor with customers was not the greatest. We arrived 15 minutes early for our tour and several in our party needed to use the rest room. She instructed us how to get there and told us there was one more group coming and that she would leave when they arrived. She told our party about 3 minutes later that they were going to leave without us. We literally were to the bathroom and back under 4 minutes, but getting texts from the rest of our party that she was going to leave without us. We were early! Our tour was not scheduled to start until 7:30 and at 7:21 she was threatening to leave without us! Iâm just not sure this is the best way to treat your customers - we get leaving on time - which we were. It put a damper on the tour for...
Read moreHad a terrific experience on a ghostly walk while in Victoria. Our tour leader was a gentleman who knew precisely how to tell a fantastic story and create atmosphere. The stories were detailed and we covered a good section of Victoria without it being too tiring. He also mentioned several stories that are not in the brief descriptions in the advertisements. The only comment that I have is I don't think he mentioned that St. Ann's Academy was a residential school for Indigenous children, which is rather important.
That being said, I used a ghost hunting app during the tour and a ghost communicated with us outside the nun's residence -- it said "WORSHIP"! We didn't go on the other tours, but did visit some of the locations on our own and also received communications there, so if you are interested in ghosts, then definitely...
