Zhenlao Dafang — Local services in Shanghai

We went here as it was Shanghai-famous. Got the pork mooncakes and sure enough they were hyped for a reason. Super fresh and hot, very flaky exterior that melts in your mouth and falls apart as you bite into it. The filling was very generous with delicious, full flavoured pork. It went down like a treat. The store itself has sort of mini stalls inside, each selling their own specialties like nougats, ice cream, candies, preserves and dried fruits, etc. I DID NOT appreciate how the salespeople were all friendly in the beginning, letting me sample things and then pushing me to buy them in BULK. I didn’t even want to try that many but this lady kept handing samples to me and I guess I was just too shy to refuse. I was just taking some photos and she just opened the cabinet and asked me to buy some. I said I would just buy a few flavours of each different gummies, but she legit grabbed them by the handful and stuffing them into a bag, despite me saying it was way too much. My social anxiety then made me back down and I ended up getting far too much gummies… I guess you gotta be a bit firmer with refusing their style of sales pitch.
