Don Saúl and his son in law are good men, making an honest living. They’re friendly, knowledgeable and were very hospitable.

The views were amazing, the information on the land and area was extensive but I cannot in anyway recommended this outfit.

2 of the 6 horses were in excellent condition. 3 of the 6 were in fair condition if they weren’t trail horses. One horse should have not been on a trail or honestly ridden by anyone over 80lbs.

Fortunately nothing terrible happened but we should have listened to the yellow flags. We’ve done plenty of riding but two in our group hadn’t. There was little to no instructions. No safety. Parts of the trail were not for inexperienced riders.

We spent most the time on edge waiting for something bad to happen and cut it off early.

Again, they’re good people trying to make ends meet but they’ll put anyone on the horse no matter how much they weigh and no matter the condition of the horse. Please go to a reputable...

We had an amazing experience horseback riding with Saúl! He was extremely friendly, patient, and clearly loves what he does. The horses were healthy, calm, and very well-trained — perfect for both beginners and more experienced riders.

The trail itself was absolutely beautiful, winding through lush jungle and open areas with stunning views. Along the way, Saúl pointed out different wildlife — we saw colorful birds, monkeys, and other animals that made the ride even more memorable.

Saúl’s horseback tour was incredible. He’s just a man with a few horses. Not a large commercial outfit. You are supporting a local Costa Rican man when you book with him. He was very knowledgeable, hard working, and kind. You meet at his house and then go from rivers, to jungle, to ocean and back. Along the way, we saw monkeys, sloths, raccoons, and cattle. Saúl knew how to get the howler monkeys fired up and they put on a show for us. This was the highlight of our trip. We will not hesitate to recommend him to everyone we meet here.
