My partner and I recently (April/ may 2022) stayed at Hotel Uvita in Costa Rica for 5 weeks. It was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in a long time . Sylvain our host and one of two owners.. was so pleasant…Olly the other owner was also very welcoming and friendly. Both of them were helpful and kind during our stay.. it really made our trip. My partner had an accident shortly after we arrived and they really helped look after our needs while he healed. We are very grateful for that caring. Everyone at the hotel is very warm and helpful without being in your face… a very hard balance to achieve.
The hotel is beautifully designed with a modern look with Costa Rican accents… we stayed in a single room, a two bed apt and a three bed apt while we were there … every unit was great with features unique to each unit.
There is a lovely outdoor pool and spa with a seating area which we used a lot… guest were really friendly so meeTing around the pool was quite social.
The cleaning staff led by Tatiana kept all the rooms and common areas in spotless shape. Everyone was very friendly and ready to go the extra mile to help make your stay a great experience.
Faremiti was within walking distance from downtown Uvita where there are some really good restaurants close by… beautiful beaches are also a step away. We would highly recommend Sylvain and his staff for providing a great home away from home in a really warm and lovely environment. ...
Read moreI tried this place because of price, reviews, and location. I booked the hotel for 5 days and then Iiked it enough to stay an additional 5 days. I don't need luxury but needed air conditioning at a reasonable price. This place was around $70 USA dollars for the mid priced room. There is an above ground pool that I did not need to use. They have a full outdoor kitchen for all guests to use and a great restaurant on the grounds. The superior+ room I stayed in had tile floors with a nice walk in shower only had cold water which was fine with me being sweaty form being outside. The room had a bunkbed with single bed on top and a double bed on the bottom, cable TV in Spanish only, air conditioning, a half sized refrigerator with separate freezer, microwave, 2 sets of dishes and utensils, 3 wicker chairs with table, and a bookshelf for storage. The staff was friendly and very helpful including a night maintenance guy! There are also several restaurants on the same block, a convenient store, several tour operators, gift shop, and the "Whale Tail" Beach which costs about $4 USA a day. |One possible drawback is there is a nightclub across the street that stays open quite late visited by young locals along with some tourists. The music is loud and can be heard in your room if you are a light sleeper. It didn't bother me as I visited a couple of nights with a very...
Read moreMy two-night stay weekend stay at Cabinas Vive Uvita was excellent and memorable for the following reasons: (1) the place is situated steps away (100m) from entrance of Parque Nacional Marina Nacional that allowed me to wake up to watch the sunrise and sunset! (2) Owner and Chef Hans offer quality customer service that is genuine and immediate; along with his team, including those who man their in-house Fernando’s restaurant & bar, together they complement their friendly personalities with their ability cook up delicious meals, serve thirst-quenching drinks (both virgin and alcoholic), and strike up conversations (English y en Español) — they truly do make you feel at home (3) the best cold-lukewarm showers in my room after hours spent on the beach under the sun or in the rainforest \o/||At the moment, yes, one may encounter morning noise due to construction. Cabinas Vive Uvita is still a work-in-progress and for me, it’s a sign of better developments to come. ||For foreigners who cannot deal with such morning noise or cannot live without hot water showers despite being in a tropical country, you are better off finding a room elsewhere.||Mis estimados, mil gracias nuevamente por su atención, amistad, sus risas y sonrisas #qcachete #puravida — fue una visita inolvidable! Q téngan un bien crecimiento y nos...
