Simply Spectacular! Family managed restaurant easily missed at the entrance of Quepos. If you love eating good quality fish as much as I do, you must check this place out. We ordered the "Mariscada" (a whole lobster, three prawns, shrimp scampi, mahi mahi, tuna, and a Cioppino soup), the whole Pargo fish, and a "mixed fruits" batida (smoothie). Their batida was delicious and they explained it tasted that good because they peeled the fruits when they receive their order instead of using frozen fruits. You'll have to be patient as it takes time to get your drinks and food but it's really worth it. All the seafood was super fresh and delicious, portions were very generous and their prices are considerably lower than other seafood restaurants in the area. The Mariscada would have been enough for two people but we didn't know the size of it. We loved it so much that we are going back tomorrow to try their Sushi! NOTE: Parking is easier on the street behind it as you can park on either side of the residential street.

This is a MUST GO TO restaurant if you are in Quepos, CR. Located just about a block or two north of the famous Quepos sign, this local seafood restaurant offers some of the best homemade sea delicacies in the area. Our server, Pedro was so extremely attentive and kind. Don't hesitate to request him! To start, we ordered the ceviche de camarrones y pescado with patacones. Let me tell you, these were the BEST patacones I have ever had, from anywhere from Puerto Rico to Panama!! And the ceviche was nothing less than amazing! So fresh, so perfect. Since there were so many great reviews about the crema de mariscos we had to try it, and it was beyond delicious, with crab, shrimp, mussels, , clams, and more. And if that wasn't more than enough food (which it was), we went ahead and ordered the mahi mahi special, and the lobster with fettuccini chef special, Everything was WONDERFUL...the food, the service, the ambience. And very reasonably priced! A must go to in Quepos.

If you go to Quepos without visiting this spot, you’re making a big mistake. The service and food here were the best my girlfriend and I experienced while visiting Costa Rica. We started with a spicy guavo shot that was like a zesty taste of Bloody Mary. A perfect starter. Our server Ingrid then patiently walked us through the perfect order. We got the seafood platter with snapper added, and it was probably enough to feed four hungry people. We ate almost all of it; it was that good. The snapper was the best part, so flavorful and fresh, but all the seafood (tuna, mahi, shrimp, and lobster) was spectacular. At one point in the middle of our meal I said it was the best fish I’ve ever had, and I stand by that. Even the sides (patacones, mashed potatoes, green beans) were excellent—gourmet quality really. The cocktails we ordered (mai tai and Sangria) were great too. I can’t recommend this spot (and our server Ingrid) highly enough.

This small place was just WOW! The service from Pedro was outstanding. We went first on Father's Day. Maybe 10-12 tables total, plus a couple seats at the bar. There were 6 people in the kitchen cooking(open view). Best ceviche y patacones. Ever. We've been there several times. Always excellent. Langosta, Dorado, Pargo, Camarones, sopa. Everything was super fresh. Apparently known for their sushi. The sushi plates coming out looked amazing and very large! No me gusta sushi but it was tempting based on the looks! Like most everywhere else in Quepos/MA its super laid back but Pedro waited on us like a 5-star establishment, in shorts and tshirt, of course, ¡Pura Vida! Andrés, the boss/owner checked on our table as well as the others. Very attentive. I can't say enough about this place. BUT, It is an easily missed place, on the corner of the main street into Quepos(rt.235) and a residential street(calle Principal,Boca Vieja neighborhood), less than a half km north of the QUEPOS sign. Keep walking past Bahía Azul(meh) and the Marisqueria. Some old sidewalk sections that seem like you're headed to a questionable area, but it's not. You'll be glad you did. Or take a taxi. Tell them la Kukula in BocaVieja. That neighborhood seems to be part of the local fishermen 'marina'/area. The prices are almost unbelievable. I haven't seen better prices or food in the Quepos area. ¡Buen provecho! ...if u drive just park up the block in the neighborhood, no...

My wife suggested seafood since we were along the coast and after a week of rice and beans, seafood sounded like a good idea. Coming towards the end of our trip, we wanted to eat within a budget and not get ripped off like you would at the Marina. On google reviews for seafood, this place came up within the area so we gave it a try.

We parked on the street because the restaurant was located on the corner or a busy street- it was right outside of Quepos which we later discovered that this place mainly served locals. With that said, when we entered, the store was empty because the locals were economically impacted by the pandemic, eating out less at places like this.

If you come, which I 100% recommend, I would not leave without getting the seafood pasta with white sauce. It was the best pasta I have ever eaten in my life which sounds dramatic but I keep telling my wife, I cannot find it in the US. After eating a few bites of my pasta, she ordered one as well to go with...
