Handsdown best ramen place to go in Escazu area. Haven't had ramen noodles as close to how ramen is supposed to taste in a long time. The Kololo Premium Ramen is the best of the ramen options, the pork belly is deliciously soft and rich in flavor - 2 out of thr 3 times I've eaten it. 👌🏾. Only once it was a little off but still delicious! The egg is made exactly the way it should be... Asian style (coming from a fellow Asian, not raised in CR) 😉

They recently added a new dish - sweet and sour eggplant and it is delicious between seer and sour and a little fried on the edges... 👌🏾 My new favorite side dish!

The JaJangmyeon is good, but I prefer the ramen. We can't compare the dish to its original countries, but the flavor is really really close, the texture is amazingly thick and rich, and is a delicious comfort food especially on cold evenings in Escazú!

Also tried the Japchae and it is delicious, nothing too epic to write home about, would order it again.

Lastly, strange to have ordered the lemon dessert at a Korean ramen restaurant but it is delicious! It's fluffy and tastes like key lime pie (do we even have key limes here??) and topped with nuts.... Delish!!

But overall - id always come here for thr kololo ramen premium 👌🏾! I rated it four stars only because it is a little on the pricey side but once in awhile I'd totally splurge here for...

Really enjoyed this place. Came for the ramen, was pleasantly surprised. I got the Chashu ramen (tonkotsu broth). There were some things I think could have been improved from an authenticity standpoint, but overall I was very satisfied and would recommend it to someone looking for good ramen in the city. Also want to mention that the noodles are fresh (not dry-packed ramen) - this is a big deal for me, and we almost didn't come because we read a review about it being from a package, but my wife messaged the owner on Facebook (he's Korean, she's Korean, so they had a chat) - ramen is made fresh in the store. And they cooked the noodles right (not overdone). Service was pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere was hip and classy but mellow. High class area. Would...

I've visited the restaurant twice just to give it a fair chance, service is extremely slow (be prepared to spend at least 40 minutes waiting for the food to be served). On both occasions, the food came out cold. The noodles were also soggy, for a place that is so called specialized in ramen I was hoping it would taste better than store-bought noodles from the super market, but they tasted...

I am a huge fan of ramen and the one I got here met the expectations, it was very tasteful and you could tell how well prepared it was. I also got a black sesame ice cream which was weirdly delicious 🤤. The only thing I thought was below average was the sweet tea of the house, it was just like an overpriced hi-c tea, nothing special there. Worth coming here and will visit again
