We are regular guests and we had dinner last night with the all you can eat option. From the very beginning, things felt off: I ordered 4 simple salmon nigiri, but what arrived was flamed salmon with a sauce on top.
Later, as we ordered 4 portions of classic salmon uramaki, we instead received the salmon uramaki with inside extra cream cheese. At that point, it felt like we were just being served pre-made items, without care for what we actually ordered.
When my partner went to the counter and explained he is lactose intolerant, (I could not eat 16 of those rolls by myself) the staff acted like it was no big deal. No one came to our table to acknowledge the mistake or apologize. Not even when we paid the bill did anyone offer a word of apology.
Allergies are not a joke. “Mistakes” can happen and some guests might enjoy cream cheese in their rolls — but if someone is allergic, you must apologize and serve the correct order. Sadly, that didn’t happen here. We were made to feel: ignored and unwelcome. And that is something no guest should...

Surely there's a better way to ask. Then I was told it was going to take another 15 minutes. It took 1 hour 35 minutes in total to finish the order. Unfortunately the order was also missing chili mayo with the tempura shrimp and we got the wrong Kaburimaki with our "Lille vegatarbox"
I've ordered many times from Itami, and it seems like I can never count on it being ready on time, or the dishes being correct or consistent with the menu.
I understand that it's a holiday and that they're busy. But it's an annual holiday, same date every year, and this is where management fails by being unprepared.
When I showed up they had two chefs working and three seatings in the restaurant. Please decline online orders if you're unable to send out the food in a...
Read moreSadly enough I need to revise my 5 starts review to much lower after "all you can eat" experience yesterday, or should I call it "all we remember that you have ordered", maybe even "all you can wait for for one hour you can eat "?... it was very disappointing to wait for one hour for sushi, especially on a casual Wednesday evening. We were ordering with the intention to order more, but sadly, we can not put 4 hours aside for eating with such a prep time. Seaweed salad never reached me in 1,5h. Our household has been very loyal customers for 2+ years, it was a mistake to switch from ordering home to eating in. Experience is ruined. Also, it seems that other tables were getting things they didn't order - maybe clear marking on the tables with numbers should...
