The excursion was great. Our guide Yunior and Santiago made it fun. The DFC (Dominican Fried Chicken), tostones and drinks were good. I would of given it five stars but I paid $40 for pictures and received the wrong ones. After contacting them on What’s App I was asked to send a picture of my boyfriend and I and the receipt, which I did. I then received a second set of pictures of the same couple. This became very confusing since we are black and the couple is white. No mix up there. I contacted them again and they said they sent the correct pics. No they didn’t. In return I sent them the pics back they sent to me as proof. Anyway too much back and forth. Needles to say be careful with purchasing the picture package. Take your own pictures and enjoy the excursion.
FYI: I still haven’t received my pictures
Update: After a couple of times of receiving the other couples pictures we did eventually receive our photos and were very pleased with...
Read moreWe had a very good time here. We drove the terracross buggies through local villages, rainforest and cane plantations to a remote beach which was very pretty and to a river which we weren't permitted to swim in because the rains during the night had made it too dangerous and murky.

Once back at the compound, we were treated to some lovely fried chicken and a beer or rum and cola. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Read moreThe horse back ride on the beach is the best excursion of our cruise. The friendliness and professionalism of the crew working here are outstanding! This is a great excursion for all skill levels and especially those that like animals and the outdoors.
Shephan, our guide, had a great introduction and description of Porto Plata during the short bus ride out to the ranch. They quickly helped everyone get fitted with helmets and explained the basics of riding for the beginners. My wife and I are both riders, and I like to see professionals who can make riding safely fun for everyone. The horses here are well taken cared for, trained, and friendly. The guides know their horses and did a good job matching the horses to the riders.
The vista on the beach was wonderful and the photographer did a great job...
