This restaurant WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU! There were many bottles of Chardonnay on the menu ranging from 2000-2500 pesos. The highest priced chardonnay on the menu was 2500 pesos. We asked the waiter to bring us any of the Chardonnay bottles THAT WERE ON THE MENU, and he brought us two different Chardonnays to choose from. The one that we chose tasted okay, but for 2500 pesos we weren't expecting anything spectacular. When we received the check at the end, they charged us 6,285 pesos for the bottle of Chardonnay. We spoke with the waiter and told him that they charged us the wrong amount. He told us, "You chose this bottle of wine out of the two that I brought out". Again.... On the menu the most expensive bottle of Chardonnay was 2500 so it made no sense that we could be charged 6265 pesos. The waiter and manager then told us that this bottle of wine is not on the menu. When the waiter brought out the 2 bottles, they did not tell us that the bottle that we chose was going to be double the amount of the most expensive bottle of Chardonnay on the menu. We looked up the chardonnay that they were trying to charge us 6265 pesos on Google and it goes for 800 pesos at a regular liquor store. This restaurant has no morals, no respect for their costumers, and look for anyway to steal your money.

The restaurant is located in the center of Puerto Plata and it is a Victorian House decorated as such. The house has a beautiful courtyard. The ambiance is romantic, but it is a great setting for any special event . Piano player with beautiful instrumental pieces.

The customer service was right on point. Very polite and courteous. Very attentive to our needs.

Our food was delicious! We ordered bruschetta with tomato and manchego cheese for appetizer. Main course was Seafood Paella with plenty of seafood including lobster, dessert was flan and we had sangrias for drinks. Sorry, forgot pictures of food.

Same owners as Casita Azul and this place is spectacular. Food portions are larger and more selections on the menu.

I read the other reviews of “scams”. I have met the owner many times and he does not run a dishonest business. There was either a misunderstanding with the language barrier between client and server, or these are false reviews from competing restaurants. This place has been the only business I have 100% trust in within Puerto Plata. I travel here many times a year for the last 4 years.
