Probably the most moving memorial along the landing beaches. The stone statue of Bill Pendell MM looking at the actions of his younger self is simply haunting. It truly is a monument to both the remaining living vetarans and the comrades they left behind. It is brilliantly done and this is a 'must visit' site for anyone doing a D-Day...
