The Base Studio — Local services in Paris

I've been taking classes at The Base Studio for one year now. Michelle and Kat are some of the most compassionate, understanding, and creative instructors that I have ever taken classes with. They are very knowledgable of the physical mechanics and are happy to make adjustments to the moves so that your body feels comfortable while you train/dance.

At the studio, aside from the beautiful aesthetic, we have some of the best laughs, make the sweetest memories, have all the bloopers, and make amazing friends. It's more than just a dance studio, it's a community and that's evident by your first experience when Michelle or Kat introduces each new person to each member of the class. The classes are very diverse: full of people from every nationality and body type... AND are conducted in English and/or French.

We had a bachelorette party at the studio and it was AWESOME!!! Michelle had such an amazing, fun and caring energy! Even though some felt intimidated by pole before coming, everyone felt so at ease and motivated to learn their first pole steps. Those 2 hours flew by. We danced, we laughed together, and left with huge smiles on our faces. Everyone kept mentioning how incredible Michelle is and that they wanted to come back asap! She decorate the space just for us, had champagne and a little gift for each of us!!! She made this event a dream come true! We could not have planned it better. I couldn’t find the changed address so I walked over to the new studio and was ten minutes late. The door was locked and she told me I couldn’t join because I was late (14 minutes when she came upstairs). She gave me no refund or option to change the schedule saying it’s all over the website that late people cannot join. I didn’t get this important piece of information during our email conversations we had or the confirmation emails. She says it is written in the FAQ which is the most frequently visited webpage. (It was not part of the tabs) so I missed it. I don’t think it was fair for a newcomer. She also wants students 15 minutes earlier to get to know the other students, which was not part of the...
