Literally the worst store I have ever been in. Cannot believe the way we were treated. First we paid at the self-checkout counters where the staff who was supposed to be “watching/helping” us was chatting up another lady instead of doing her job. The payment machine was not working and we couldn’t even get this lady to help (white, blonde, no glasses). We ended up working it out using Apple Pay and packed it in our bag and walked out. Then the security machine beeped, so we were like oh the machine must’ve missed something (it was the type where you just place ur items and the machine auto adds them to the cart). So obviously we turn around and walk back in and the security guard (black, short) stops us and is checking our bag. He asks for a receipt but the machine didn’t give us one when we had paid, and they were meant to have emailed it to me but I did not receive it. So we go back and find out the machine missed not 1, but 3 items, so we were like oh our bad here let us pay for it. And the security guard goes no you didn’t pay for anything at all, and the blonde lady comes up to us and says it’s impossible that we had already paid. My friend has his credit card statement in hand stating we had paid over 200 euros to Zara. Things are starting to get a bit heated so we said please check the cameras then if you don’t believe us. And the guard goes no we don’t have time for that (what else does he even need to do??). We go upstairs to another guy who is checking and he confirms we paid for almost all the items and except 3 and we are explaining that it was clearly a mistake then. The security guard butts in and starts accusing us of being liars. At this point I am just in awe, why would we steal barely 120 euros worth of clothes from Zara after spending over 40k at Hermes, Cartier, Bvlgari, Chaumet, etc. (We even had the branded bags from all these places). The thing is, if they had just been like oh sorry the machine sometimes misses things (which it does because when security was trying to find out which items had already been paid for he couldn’t even get them to scan without shaking it), and told us we had to pay, we would’ve happily paid and labelled it a misunderstanding. The way we were treated by the staff there was simply disgusting and clearly racially motivated (we were the only Asian people in the store). Never have I ever experienced such awful service, not at any store in any country. Loved some Zara clothes before but because of the staff’s horrible and revolting attitudes, I will never ever be shopping from this god-forbidden...
Read moreToday I have had one of my worst experiences in a clothing store and specifically the most important store in the world!
IN ZARA RIVOLI I wanted to change TODAY AT 10:40 am a sweater garment Pull - over blue stripes with beige that I bought yesterday, April 7 at the ZARA CHAMPS ELYSÉES store since this morning when my girlfriend put it on to travel to Brussels we realized that it was dirty with a red spot at the neck.
We wanted to change it at Zara Rivoli and the store manager told me yelling at me that it was every day and that my girlfriend had stained it, I told her that it was not possible since just today a few hours after the purchase she put it on for our trip to Brussels. And she started shouting that I had to change the garment in the store that I bought it but I told her that my hotel where I was staying was very close to her store and that it was easier for me to make the change there and once my girlfriend wanted to buy more items from the store. But she keeps screaming and I asked her name and she told me that she wasn't going to give it to me then I took a photo of her and she got hysterical to scream that she was going to call the police if she didn't delete her photo from my cell phone the security man of the store kindly asked me that I had to delete the photo and I did it but I Buy more items.
It is very sad that in Paris Zara they are so rude and more when it comes to a foreigner when I told him that I was going to miss my train to Brussels and that please charge me for the garment that my girlfriend wanted to buy and then I would try to go to another Zara store to make the change but he denied me the sale and yelled at me that I had to It had never happened to me that they ran me out of a store, especially when my girlfriend and I asked for things attentively and cordially.
It's a simple purchase of € 29.95 but the important thing is the terrible treatment they have in their Zara Rivoli store.
I hope to have an answer from Zara because it's incredible that they treat you...
Read moreWorst service I have ever received in my entire life! I bought an outfit from here got home tried it on and it was big on my waist. I sat down on the sofa of the apartment contemplating what to do until I then decided to wear something I had brought from the uk. I went to a restaurant, then a bar, we danced I had perfume on the outfit I actually wore. Went to Zara the next day to return the outfit I bought and didn’t wear because it was too big and had a rude manager shout at me adamant that I’d worn it because it was creased. Of course it was creased, people try it on the shop and I also tried it on at home and sat down wearing it before changing my mind. I tried to explain it to the manager in French and in English but he was extremely rude speaking so loud to me the entire queue was staring. I didn’t care, it was only €30 so I’ll keep it and give it to a friend or something. The point was the lack of service, he was condescending, patronising and just plain arrogant. I’m never returning to this store in my life. Bearing in mind just on that day I spent £188 in Zara on myself, my husband and my children. When I decided to return a €30 item is because I simply changed my mind about it. Absolutely joke of management! The lady on the till had then rolled up my paper bag and put it in the bin, when they refused to accept my return she then attempted to give me the rolled up ripped bag from the bin. I was like are you kidding me? She went: well this is the bag you gave me. I went: not like that I didn’t. I purchase from Zara all the time - in the UK, France, Switzerland and Portugal, never in my life have I ever experienced anything like this! Change your management or simply close your store because no one deserves to be...
