LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!!! I can’t say enough about the location! It is located in the most prime area! Neighborhood is super quaint & EXTREMELY walkable! No car necessary! We took a different walking pattern every day & found something new & exciting with every stroll! But if needed, the Metro is literally 10 steps from the hotels entrance. Hotel Victoria Chatelet itself was absolutely adorable! Super clean & very neat. Very cute breakfast area located in the basement, set up like a sweet little café! Coffee & tea are complimentary around the clock but a cute breakfast spread is available for an additional fee. We came from the US, so we had a few adjustments but I wouldn’t categorize any of them as a ‘negative’. Our adjustments included the small size of the room & shower. The wonderful lady at the desk offered us a larger room at check in after seeing our luggage. Lol. She immediately upgraded us at no charge. Even with the upgrade, it was definitely smaller than what we are accustomed too but it was still absolutely adorable! The size of the shower made both of us chuckle. It was so cute but very VERY small! Our 3rd adjustment was when we requested wash cloths & the sweet lady at the front desk didn’t know what a wash cloth was. She informed us that they do not use cloths. 4th ~ The elevator was extremely tiny but at least they have one! We had to send our luggage up, & take the stairs to retrieve it. 5th ~ No air conditioning but since it’s the top of June, it was still pleasant. We weren’t really inside during the day time hours but when we arrived at night, the room was a touch warm. We would simply open the large window & turn the room fan on. Nights were a bit chilly still so it made the room very comfortable. Once we got over the size of everything, our stay was nothing short of magical! We cannot WAIT to return to Paris & we will be staying here again & again!!! Absolutely loved it!!! About a 30-40 min car ride to/from ORLY airport. Cost about $45-$50 euros each way. 2 grocery stores within 5-8 min walk. 3 min walk to street full of shopping stores. Clothing, sneakers, makeup, jewelry, etc stores very plentiful! Mall about 12-15 min walk away. About 15 min walk to boat tour of the city. Literally about a thousand restaurants within a 15 min walking distance! Food is everywhere! They even have a 5 Guys, Krispy Kreme, KFC, Zara’s Footlocker, Sephora, Urban Outfitters, & other familiar stores. I’m telling you… LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!!!

Loved this hotel. We were shocked when we walked up as the front lobby is completely under renovations, however, right up the stairs is their temporary office. Check in was a breeze, the gentleman that checked us in was really nice and super helpful. The elevator is tiny so pack light of take trips up the stairs. We were on the 5th floor room 36 and had a lovely view. Beds were very comfortable and we had a large bathroom with a tub. The TVs are smart so you’re wanting to watch a movie or show you’re not stuck with satellite tv. The bathrooms don’t offer shampoo, conditioner or any bathroom accessories but we found that all hotels in Paris are like this. The location is great, a quick walk across the street and over the bridge and you’re at Notre Dame. There is also a hop on hop off bus stop a quick walk away and plenty of buses and metro. Would definitely stay again.

After much searching online we picked this hotel due to his location to metro station, proximity to the Seine and the fact it was near some must see sights in Paris such as the Louvre and Notre Dam cathedral. Reviews of many hotels in Paris warned of them being small and this was a small room but the staff, cleanliness and location could not be faulted. All the reception staff were really nice and helpful. The room was cleaned everyday. Plenty of towels and shower gel, soap, shampoo etc. Lovely charm to the room that we stayed in with the vintage windows and radiator. As you spend most of your time exploring and sightseeing there is no need for anything bigger or any fancy rooms. Would recommend this hotel.

Great location. Rooms are small, but, comfortable and clean. Nice and helpful staff. However, there was a large two story (temporary) building right outside our bedroom window and I believe this building was there in order to do construction. It was noisy at times. My biggest issue during this stay was on Monday, 10/28/24, when the theater at the end of the street had a large scale event and we could not get past the police/security on either end of the block to get back to our hotel. Once we finally were able to connect to someone in charge, he walked us past security and to the hotel door. We let the hotel staff know about the situation and the woman at the front desk took action, but it did not seem to be impactful. The theater people seemed to disregard her concerns that other guests would have similar difficulties reaching the hotel later that night. The event was loud (lots of chanting and cheering) but eventually it settled down. However, all the extra 6 ft. fencing and chairs/tables that were put up for the event started coming down very early in the morning (like 3 am early) and it was difficult to sleep solidly. Overall, I think this is a good hotel and I would stay here again, but it had some challenges...
