BEWARE! This hotel was sadly a huge disappointment and a nightmare. All photos are taken to make the rooms look a lot bigger and more renovated than they actually are. The hotel is extremely dated and barely maintained to the MINIMUM level. Upon check-in the front desk person will rudely and firmly make it clear that you must pay in full at check-in and that they had ONE elevator and that it would be broken for the entirety of our stay. Visiting Paris I had a well informed understanding of how small the rooms would be, but the rooms at Andréa Hotel are horribly small. The bed takes up the ENTIRETY of your one and only room. You will always only be able to have one person in the bathroom at a time and that person will still struggled to even turnaround. The rooms are simply depressing. You enter the room and immediately bump into the bed. The bathroom was by far an abomination. It had no ventilation at all so it stayed permanently humid. There is no fan in the bathroom and the only window swings completely open above a busy street where pedestrians walking by can completely see into your rooms. There was no stand or holster for the toilet paper and no counter space. First day moving in our room we noticed that we had black mold (pictures attached). We immediately told the hotel (I made sure to inform them through email with follow-ups as well in case the owner tries to say they were never informed upon writing this review). I started developing coughing, sneezing and respiratory symptoms. I googled symptoms of black mold, and you guessed it, signs of black mold exposure. I had no responses or action for three days. On the third night at around 11:30 PM the front desk "gentleman" came and invited himself into the bathroom. I showed him where the mold was and he licked his finger and attempted to scrub the mold off with his finger (barf). He then turned to me and said there were no more rooms so we would have to stay there with no discount and no credited nights for the inconvenience. My symptoms continued throughout my ENTIRE stay at Hotel Andrea. Nothing was ever done to remedy the black mold or the overall inconvenience of the room. The housekeeper did not even try to clean the black mold. It was still there upon check-out. We ended up staying because we had already spent over $1,000 for five nights and we were not going to be reimbursed or compensated for the nightmare of a room we were in. We ended up deciding that we would keep the bathroom door closed at all times in an attempt to mitigate the black mold exposure. We would only return to the room at night to sleep but leave as early as possible in the morning. Now I know why the front desk person insisted on paying in full upon check-in. I am guessing they receive complaints once people check in and see their rooms and the hotel wants to guarantee their sales. Every day you leave your room you will see mass amounts of garbage in the hallways of the hotel in front of the rooms. The housekeeper apparently does not complete one room before going to the next, instead she throws all of the garbage, soiled linens and boxes into the hallway to collect at once (see photos). Considering how small the hallways are and the volume of garbage, shocking.......shocking is the only word that can be used to describe it. Also, by the staircase we would occassionally hear multiple large bags of soiled linen and boxes being thrown down the stairs by the housekeeper. Lastly, there is no door "do not disturb" or "please clean our room" placard to put on your door so you cannot control whether the housekeeper cleans your room and you cannot control when she comes. She is coming no matter what and NEVER at the same time of day. You get a couple of knocks and if you are taking a nap, in the shower or do not hear the knocks you are out of luck. It's sad the hotel is so cheap that they won't even invest in door placards for the housekeeping. The only good things about this room are the bed is comfortable and the location is good. You get what you pay for with this hotel.

Honestly couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Ideal location walking distance from amazing sightseeing spots, 2-5 minute walk from 3 different metro station. The room was impeccably clean and had everything I needed from a kettle, safe, tv and some hair wash - and even a chocolate on my pillow when I arrived! You can come and go as you please with no closing time for reception. They even looked after my bags for me after checkout before my train. The breakfast was simple but good value for central Paris. The rooms aren't massive so if you're two people then don't bring too much luggage! However this is entirely standard for central Paris, you'll find this with any hotel in a good location that doesn't cost hundreds of euros a night. All in all, a really excellent stay. They even gave me a balcony room which I had requested if available while I was there. Every morning I sat on the balcony with a cup of coffee before beginning my day. Can't wait to return to Paris and the hotel.

Terrible check in experience and missing items in the unit. We arrived direct from the airport late morning to take advantage of the offered 'baggage storage'. There is no storage. The bags were left in the breakfast room area on the side wall, not visible from the front desk and not secure in any way. We returned at our check in time of 3pm to be told the room isn't ready. The reason we were told was that the cleaner was new and was very slow and wasn't done yet. We were told to come back at 4. Room still not ready. We didn't get into our room until 5:10pm when we really just wanted to check in on time after being up for 30 hours travelling. Getting into the room (deluxe balcony, exactly as the picture shows for this hotel on this page) we found there was only 1 mug for coffee/tea, only 1 chair on the deck and the shampoo dispenser was completely empty. I returned to the front desk to politely ask for a 2nd chair as there are 2 of us and the front desk lady was very rude, told us there were no more chairs and that the "boss has ordered more". She really didn't want to talk to me or look for solutions. ||The next day there was no room cleaning when we returned late afternoon (there was to be daily service). The cleaning lady knocked on our door at 6:30pm to clean but we told her it was too late and we were using the room, so no service that day. I had to later speak with the night front desk man about the shower shampoo situation and that we needed new towels (there is quite the door gap in the shower and water got everywhere and we needed our towels to mop up the floor and no way I'm re using that towel!). 20 minutes later he came to the room with shampoo and towels which was awesome. When we did have cleaning services the lady did a good job, time was the issue.||The shower itself was dangerous in that the square metal plate that covers the drain was installed uneven/crooked and the sharp corner facing the door was at least 1/4" higher than the shower base. It would slice open your foot in a heartbeat if you caught that corner!||The deck was about 30" wide and maybe 16' long, large enough for a chair to be sideways and sit. There was green artificial grass as the deck surface. If only there were 2 chairs for us to enjoy the deck, which we paid extra to have. ||The room itself was fine, bed comfortable and the furnishing in good shape. You can see in the page picture there is a very narrow space between the end of the bed and the wall shelving. You need to go sideways to get through to the bathroom. The AC worked great.||We chose not to use the safe as I didn't trust it. Seemed like a bad connection with the battery or something as it didn't always open/close when I tested it. I was concerned it would lock and then not unlock for me and I have no faith in the front desk to be able to assist in opening it. ||Location was fantastic, couple blocks from the river and a small supermarket just in behind the building 3 minutes to walk to. About a 10 minute walk from where the airport train drops you off. This area is a bit run down compared to the area only 10 minutes further West towards the Louvre but we still felt safe. Many restaurants within 10 minutes of walking. Close to the batobus pick up location as...

Person at the front desk is not that friendly, I asked her why is the AC not working? She was reading a book, she lifted her head and looked at me behind her glasses like I was stupid to ask that question. Then she replied, it's not the season for AC. It was 74 Fahrenheit outside and they had the heater on. If you open the window, its too noisy outside to sleep, if you close it, you will suffocate.

Secondly, I asked her, can i get another key for the room (it was just a card that you scan) and she said "No", nothing else, just No. I had the hotel booked for 4 nights. I couldn't sleep properly a single night. I knew the room was going to be small as it's on a busy location but I expected a better attitude.

Room itself was ok, bed was fine for two people, the curtain was stuck in one location, and won't close, but we just pulled it until it moved and closed. If you close the curtain, the window won't open. The shower hotwater didn't work properly, it was just dripping. Cold water was coming fine.

Oh and a night before we left the hotel, we asked the person at the front what time is the checkout (very nice gentleman) and he told us 12pm. Next morning, we recieved a call from front desk at 11:45am telling us we are late for checkout, check out is at 11:30am. This person was also not that friendly. I won't recommend...
