Garden State Candles — Local services in Berlin

I recently purchased a bouquet and vase from this store for delivery within the Berlin urban area. They have a great range of beautiful items that are quite affordable, even when paying in a foreign currency (e.g., NZD). The online purchase process was very easy; however, the delivery updates and follow-up emails were a bit slow. I believe this is mainly because it’s a small business with limited staff, so it might take a couple of days to get a response. If you have an urgent matter, I recommend checking their Instagram account, as email communication can be quite slow. Be patient with them—it’s worth it. A favourite neighbourhood store that is so cute it hurts. Wonderful curation of all those wonderful things, from home decor to kimonos, from jewelry to greeting cards. But of course first and foremost, the store stands for its own candle brand ranging from simple scents, such as sage, eucalyptus, fig to more complex seasonal blends.

They host candle making workshops too, if you’d like to try yourself in the craft - needless to say that Garden State candles are clean, 100% vegan, and sustainable (bring a container back and you’ll get 10% off your next purchase).

It’s always inspiring and stimulating to all your senses, I cannot recommend this place enough, the only downside is that you might end up spending more...

I love this shop, and have done so since moving to Berlin in 2020. It’s always my go to for purchasing gifts and candles.

The owner, Maya, is warm and friendly, you can obviously tell she is passionate about the shop, and the products she features there.

I love that they carry locally sourced products, and they make their candles at the back in their atelier.

I’ve attended a few candle workshops which are also hosted at the back of the shop, and it’s always a cozy experience.
