I used Fitrip for 3 months. Freeweight equipment: 5/5 Machines: 4/5 (variety but not great condition) Cardio equipment: 3.5/5 (some options, but few that are in great working condition. Equipment is aged)
The GOOD: Variety of areas and lots of different equipment types for any workout or training. It has nice, clean locker rooms and showers. Supplements and drinks available. Long business hours make it easy to access when you like. A wide variety of equipment and spaces for all types of training and workouts
The BAD: very uncomfortable environment! No AC or cooling of any kind in the main gym. Not even ventilation fans to give air movement. Prepare to sweat a lot. The heat is likely to limit your training and workout intensity. AC units are installed throughout the gym but are either never used or else are not working. I asked several times about the heat and discomfort when first going here, but got different evasive answers each time from the staff. After a while I concluded that management was not really serious about fixing it and doesn't care too much about your comfort. No AC my whole 3 months there. The problem is that their prices are fairly high and absolutely unjustified for an indoor gym in Ghana with no AC. This is the biggest complaint I have about Fitrip. Besides this, front desk staff isn't very professional and tend to be unfriendly as other reviews have mentioned. Options are limited in the area, for now anyway, so they have little incentive to improve these customer...
Read moreFollowing an enquiry I made during the week, I walked into Fittrip this Sunday afternoon to check if they had what I was looking for. Nice, clean gym with well looked after equipments. Unfortunately they didn’t have what I was looking. The guy who took me around to see if I could find what I was looking for, was nice and courteous. A stark contrast to the girl at the reception. She had poor customer service skills, mixed with an Attitude. With an expression on her face like SHE was doing ME a favour by answering my questions. Something I’ve noticed with many Ghanaian women in customers service in the 7mths I have lived in Ghana. Must stem from...
Read moreone of the women that works at the front desk is so rude and always seems irriritated that she needs to give me a key for the locker. she gives me the death stare. her head is always stuck in the phone...most of the time she doesn't even look at you when she's giving you the key. for 80$ (1100 GHC) for a month, i expected decent customer service....the other receptionists are not rude but seem like they dont want to work there.they're just not friendly ppl. the ppl in the gym itself are nice though (the trainers and gym goers). im going to open a nearby gym thats half the price and has much better customer service just to wake...
