Be very very careful when booking this hotel as I was in this hotel on Monday the 9th October 2017 while my flight was cancelled. The man who reserved the hotel for me, told me how much I need to pay and the price was written on the receipt. The man then told me that I will even get a change back. Then man then helped me to change a taxi fair for that evening and also for the following morning back to the airport. When I got to the hotel, the receptionist who was a tall man collected the money of me And the said the money is not enough. I then asked him how much more does he want? This man surely know that I don't know the currency properly and he collected all the money I have on me including all my taxi fairs plus some one cedis I had on me. Lucky enough for me, the taxi driver was with me just to make sure I am ok before he drove off. But the taxi driver realise there were some going wrong. The driver then jump and asked this receptionist to give all the money back. The driver then told him you this man you always rubbing the visitors here. The taxi driver wanted to slapped him up and the man stated saying sorry it's was a mistake. We should start everything again. I was very scared and told the driver to take me away from this hotel. The taxi driver did told me that man did the same thing to one lady before. So please please!!! Don't ever ever enter this hotel even if you were offered for free. That receptionist...
Read moreWe stayed at the 10-room Nogahil most recently in May 2008 while in Accra on business. This hotel is like everything else in Accra, it has a few quirks but overall it's a great place! It's conveniently located about 15 minutes from the airport, not in the city center where traffic is gridlocked. ||||The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have high-speed internet in the lobby. The outside pool bar & terrace are a nice place to sit at night. Remember to wear mosquito repellant. It's easy to get a taxi on the highway (the guard will get one if you don't want to flag one down). Don't expect more than 5 or 6 TV channels by satellite but you shouldn't be watching TV anyway. Service on the terrace & in the restaurant is good but the kitchen is painfully slow. It can take over an hour to be served if another table has just ordered. Each bathroom has its own water heater and there is a generator for when the electricity goes out...not uncommon in the rainy season!||||We've stayed here probably 10 times. In May they were expanding with a 4-story double tower, adding about 40 rooms. The pool was closed due to the construction. Completion date was estimated December 2008. Other than not being able to swim on site, the construction didn't...
Read moreThis place offers spacious rooms, good service and a great restaurant, with particularly tastefull Ghanaian dishes. The hotel seems a bit overpriced at first sight, but against Accra's average rates still reasonable. As in every hotel, prices are negotiable.||||The hotel is close to a road, offering the advantage of good accessibilty if one needs to travel outside Accra. The suburb Jolo is not far and can be reached by foot (take the footbridge) or in 5 mins. by taxi. Accra Mall, a western style shopping place, can also be reached with a 5 mins ride. Proximity of a busy road makes it a rather noisy place. Make sure you get a room at the backside.||||Overall a good place with very friendly staff. If you are looking for a budget hotel, this should be...
