I was in town and a friend suggested we go because she said they make the best profiterol she has ever had. So we went. The shop is in a central location of Kavala, which can only be accessed on foot and the establishment is clean and neat, with a very big variety of pastries, cakes, and everything in between. The profiterol was good, can't say the best I've ever had or not, but certainly worth my visit. The reason I give this place one star though is because of what I found to be a crucial safety omission. After I finished my dessert, I wanted to go to the bathroom to wash my hands. The bathroom is at the back and downstairs and you have to open a door. However, when I opened the door it, it was completely dark! Just by pure chance I decided not to walk into the darkness, assuming there would be a floor there, because I would have literally fallen all the way to the bathrooms, way down, and undoubtedly injured myself very seriously! I have included a photos showing how pitch black it is when opening the door. Furthermore, there is no warning, sign, light or anything else indicating that one needs to be careful. I was extremely lucky in that I had my phone with me and had the wits to turn on the flashlight before continuing. Someone else might not be as diligent and will very likely find themselves seriously injured. I don't care how good their products are if I hurt myself. Management needs to...
Read moreWe are from the Philadelphia area, but were visiting friends in Kavala. We were passing by and saw this wonderful place. Even though we had ice cream at another place, this looked much better. Sia offered me a sample of the popcorn flavor and the black vanilla and I was hooked. We then added croquant and America cheeries and it was unbelievable. Next Sia asked me to create my own profiterol, but I told her knowing my preference to select for me. It was very good. She was so kind and professional and the owner is very lucky to have her as an employee. She is the real face of the establishment. We will be back again before...
Read moreIce cream was ok but don’t believe they work until 11pm… We were eating out ice creams at 10:30pm ( as I’m posting this ) and the person working there went out and started saying that they are closing and we have to get out now, very rudely. I said that we can see it says they are working until 11pm and he said “No I close now” and he really was very rude!!! We were 10 people, everyone got something to eat, we paid a lot for an awful service. We were kicked out as we were still eating, mind you there were kids with us. I hope they didn’t do this based on our nationality because it would be literally illegal (...
