When I made my reservation I arranged for the hotel to send a driver to pick me up at the airport for 25 euros. The driver was there when I exited arrivals and was polite and courteous. ||This "hotel" is a larger complex consisting of offices and also apartments. There is no hotel "lobby." There is a reception office. ||I checked in and was taken to my room and shown how the tv worked, etc. After I unpacked I noticed that I had been given only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. I was told when I checked in that housekeeping only came every 3 days (again, since it is not a regular "hotel") I went to the reception office to ask for 1 additional bath towel. I was told that since I was the only guest they only allow one towel but would "make an exception." I found that to be absurd. I actually try to be as green as possible when I travel and typically refuse housekeeping and new towels/sheets. The only reason I asked for another one was because I was told housekeeping only came every 3 days and I wanted to make sure I had an extra just in case. ||Oddly enough, despite what I was told housekeeping did come every day that I stayed there. I was confused by that but what can you do.||Anyway, the location is decent. I personally found it a bit too far to walk to the harbor area, however, so I had the reception call a taxi for me each time and it was 5 euro to get there. I found that to be reasonable. There are several restaurants, cafes and small grocery stores in the area. ||The room itself was nice. The other issue I did have was that my room was on the ground floor directly across from a public ATM in the complex. I mean, literally 6 feet away from the ATM. It is a very busy ATM so at times there were groups of 5-6 people waiting in line right outside of my room door to use it. ||Since it is not a typical hotel I would suggest this for a more independent and experienced traveler. If you are not the kind of person who needs a lot of "hand holding" from a hotel front desk than this is the place for you. The two women staff who I did interact with (a younger and an older woman) were both friendly and...
Read moreJust Get a hotel! Do not bother with hotel apartments! The problem with this kind of facility is the lack of amenities. There’s no ice machine, a dedicated iron for every room, enough cups and coffee, towels, TV channels, and so on. Also the bathroom and shower do not have full doors( and it’s glass) !!! So you have very little privacy. The fan is not strong. Additionally, it lacks privacy, as the rooms open into hallways, making it difficult to open the curtains. Late-night guests, smoking and drinking, disturb the peace. The mini fridge doesn’t cool enough! The hairdryer in the bathroom didn’t work properly. The plugs are not working. Also the picture they advertise on the travel sites do not match the room you get. ( what you see is not what you get ) Simple things are missing from this facility. It do not disturb sign that you can simply hang on the door. Cleaning crew knocked once every morning and walked in. We had to repeatedly ask for no housekeeping. The Internet was extremely slow. The TV in the bedroom has 10 channels, all local nothing international and they are all low quality. There is an AC, but the living room and bedroom are out or sync, you have a cold living room and a very warm bedroom.
On the positive side, the location is convenient, with pharmacies and grocery shops nearby. Big closets and enough furnitures...
Read moreThe room was not cleaned thoroughly at all. Almost immediately after checking in I found a massive spider web in the bedroom, big enough that it must have been there for a while. Then there were dead bugs along the window panes, layers of dust and live ants coming through. I took pictures and showed the receptionist who apologized and said she'll "send someone up right away". No one came that day. For the next few days, even when regular housekeeping came to clean, they STILL didn't clean the area. The giant spiderweb, dead bugs and all, stayed there throughout my entire stay. I don't know if they just don't clean behind the curtains, but it allows for bugs, dust and other things to gather and grow. The ants were a constant problem. I had to spend every morning and night doing an ant sweep. On the last day they kept getting on the bed. Staff is otherwise very friendly, but I didn't like that the receptionist told me she would have someone clean that day, but no one came. I'm not sure if that's just miscommunication between staff and housekeeping though. I didnt bring the issue up again because I didn’t think they would resolve it.
Positives: Staff is friendly and helped call for a taxi during checkout. Room is spacious and they have an...
