Can’t really complain. Good hotel and good location. Short walk to the beach. Close to but not in the center of the old city so party activities did not disturb the evening. We had a great balcony view of the beach, sunset and the sea with the sound of waves gently crashing on shore. Not every room gets this exposure. Great staff. Great breakfast included with the room. Essentially no parking with the hotel so you need to find somewhere on the street. Hotel is on a busy street but we always found a parking spot within 1 block. I think that we were lucky. Rooms are updated and modern. Our room had air conditioning ducts at the entrance to the room but no ducts/ circulation in the bed area. It was hot at night even though the thermostat was set at 19C. We were able to deal with that by leaving the balcony door open at night. Cute little pool area with bar but it is surrounded by buildings making it less attractive. Not surprising since it is a city hotel. No beach towels available “because of the bacteria “. We had to leave very early, before the breakfast area opened. Staff kindly provided a takeout breakfast in a bag. All in all, good home for a few days. Would stay again.

I just came back from Chania and staying at the Hyperion Hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent, even though it is in a very busy street, so choose a room with a sea view in order to have peace and sleep with the sound of the waves. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, the shower cabin is large. And now the small drawbacks: the automatic off of the light in the toilet takes a long time and is annoying through the glass of the shower cubicle next to the bed, my suggestion is to shorten the light turning off time. There is also a large mirror missing, for us women to look at ourselves before going out on the town :) Breakfast is a buffet, classic and very good. When you leave the hotel, take the first street on the right down to the promenade by the sea and a small beach. We didn't swim there, it is very small and there are no sunbeds, we went to Nea Chora beach, a little further and much more beautiful. All in all, we are loved our stay in this hotel and in Chania, as well as in the whole of Crete. We will come again for sure.

The hotel is easily reachable from the Chania Airport. It takes 15-20 Mins. Hyperion Hotel is clean, nicely decorated and maintained. The staff speak English and they’re very helpful and friendly. The massage has been extremely relaxing and the prices are fitted to the services. For the breakfast there were eggs, yoghurt, baked beans, different pies with fillings. The location of the hotel is fantastic and the beach to the harbour/port, city Center, pharmacy and the medical assistance are close by. Due to these reasons it’s not a quite location because the hotel is situated on the main road. The curtains are great for the darkness in the room. - One thing that I wished to have better would be the coffee machine in the dining space. It was weird that there were no filter coffee available. I recommend this hotel to anybody travelling with kids and family. The whirlpool and the airconditioner in the room were perfect and well maintained. We’ll definitely visit this hotel again. Thank you for making our stay so nice and comfortable.

It took us a while to decide on a hotel in Chania but when we found Hyperion and saw the reviews we decided to go for it. We were unfortunately delayed on our flight and didn't arrive until the very early hours, but even then the reception we received was so warming and friendly. One of the biggest things that stood out on our visit was the friendliness of the entire staff. Even on our last day we were offered towels and showers if we needed something to do until our evening flight, this was after check out! I can't compliment the team enough on their positivity. Every time you walk into the building you are greeted with a smile and hello.

The entire hotel is very modern and clean. The rooms are fresh. Great air con, TV and walk in shower. Complimentary drinks in the fridge (and complimentary drink from the bar). The breakfast buffet includes plenty to start your day well.

The location is also superb, two seconds from the coast which has some great cocktail and lunch places right around the corner. Follow the coast for 10 more minutes and you're at the venetian harbour already. Perfect.

I think honestly my only negative would be that unless you get lucky and are given a room on the top two floors then your view from the balcony is not the best. You can technically see the ocean through a gap in the buildings but it's not much. Also some (ours) of the balcony fronts are wood and some glass. The wood ones make it worse since when you sit down you can't see anything at all. So we barely sat out on it.

Overall we were so happy with our choice. Definitely recommend if you want some...

I had booked a stay in this hotel for a planned trip to Greece with my girlfriend. The week before we were scheduled to leave, my girlfriend (who is a kidney transplant recipient) was admitted to the hospital as her immune system had completely stopped functioning. Her doctors told her she could not travel internationally as she had no chance in fighting off any infections/viruses she may encounter.

I emailed this hotel directly (it was booked through a third party) and explained the situation, and asked if we'd be able to reschedule rather than cancel as we are planning on visiting Greece later this summer. I did state that I'd be happy to pay any re-scheduling fee or change in rates myself. I received an email from the CEO Lagonikakis George instructing me to reach out to the booking agent to reschedule. The booking agent contacted them multiple times without a response, finally being told by the hotel after our arrival date that the booking was non-refundable and that they were not interested in re-scheduling the dates.

All three other hotels that we booked with in Greece had no problem re-scheduling the dates as they understood the severity of my girlfriend's medical situation. Will still be staying in Chania later this summer, but it will absolutely not be...
