In Urvashi, almost all movies play with sub title. But there is no indication whether the sub title will come or not . PVR clearly mentioned whether Sub titles are there or not. Other theaters do not bother about that. I watched Hanuman thinking that Urvashi must be playing with sub title. Even the censor board certificate says the movie is with sub title. But there was no sub title. My seat number was E17 balcony, and the seat arm was broken, and a sharp nail was exposed. I have to be cautious for the whole movie. Like any other single screen theater bathroom cleaning is very average. Sound and projection are as usual good and, of course, the size of the screen . Because of this reason I selected Urvashi, even though I am not very comfortable with Telugu. Hope Urvashi Management will take care of all the above issues.
Again, I visited to Urvashi for GOAT. Car parking is reduced to 30%. It was big issue to park the car. The seat numbers are not placed properly. The sound is pathetic. There was lot of echoes throughout the movie. As usual, Canteen is pathetic, no proper service, and rest room is very pathetic. No water in wash basin. Only saving grace is the Screen Size. Now Uravshi is the best example for how one can go from best to worst. I am done with Urvashi. I will consider only if they fix all these issues. But it looks owners are not in mood for renovation and moving towards closure. If they upgrade the facility, it would be good for Bangalore Cinema lovers. Bye,...
Read moreFirst off, let's talk about the big screen. I've been to my fair share of theatres, and I gotta say, the screen at Urvashi? Absolutely top-notch. The clarity was something else. I felt like I was seeing every little detail from the expressions on the actorâs faces to the tiny background details. It was like being in the movie.
Now, the sound... that's a whole different story. I mean, you'd expect a theatre with such a killer screen to have sound to match, right? Wrong. It felt like they cranked up the bass and forgot about the rest. There were moments when the dialogue just turned into a garbled mess. Picture trying to listen to a radio that's halfway between stations; that's how it felt at times. Super frustrating, especially when you're trying to keep up with the plot.
And letâs chat about the snack situation during the interval. I was all set to grab some popcorn and a drink, and guess what throws a wrench in my plan? Their payment system. It's 2023, and they're rocking a cash-only policy. No digital payments, no UPI, nada. I mean, I get it, old-school vibes and all, but come on. Most of us aren't rolling around with wads of cash in our pockets anymore.
So, the big picture? Urvashi Cinema's got some serious visual game. But they need a sound upgrade, and someone needs to give their snack counter a little nudge into the present. If they sort that out, they'd be the full package. Fingers crossed...
Read moreVisited theatre for the first time to watch Kanthara Chapter 1 The below review is purely personal
Pros - what is better than elsewhere Large screen 2.huge Seating Capacity. Location being just on main road. Seats quality Sound system - amongst the best in Bengaluru
Cons - where Improvement needed. Parking: Very less space available for 4 wheeler Parking. Do not recommend going in big vehicles especially during superhit movies. Though you might be able to park, talking it out is hard 2.Seating arrangement - seats are comfortable but arrangement wise rows are very close to each other. Silver class leg space could have been improved by taking out 1 or 2 rows. 3.Snacks counter : major disappointment is the mode of payment "Only Cash" . No UPI available making it hard for first time visitors to avail snacks and drinks of they don't carry Cash. 4.Disturbance to those who sits near to Entry/exit Doors - even after 30 mins of show starting people keep on coming and won't shut the door properly making unbearable disturbance to those near to doors. I would not recommend to book seats at the Back side in the silver class and also near to walking space, better to go front and middle of the rows
Yes it is one of the best single screen theatre in Bengaluru but there is always room...
