Spice IT- ibis Gurgaon Golf Course Road — Restaurant in Gurugram District

I've been to spice it many times and liked it earlier in spite of the extremely limited menu. (which btw doesn't cater to vegans at all)

However last night was the pits. When I ordered spicy chilli basil (meal in a bowl) , which clearly mentions stir fried noodles along with assorted vegetables, What I got was a shocker. It came after an extremely long wait (at the end of the rest of the meal). No taste of chilli, none of basil either, but instead what I got was some BLAND gooey muck in a lemon garlic sauce! How can u put a supposedly stir fried dish Into a thick sauce? What was the point of stir frying at all?!! And the excessive number of large florets of broccoli was even more annoying. Is there really no other vegetable? It was not palatable but worst- it was abs NOTHING like the menu item. I asked for addition of more chilli and basil. The chef again took ages and came back with the exact same dish AGAIN! With abs no chilli and basil except as frigging garnish and the excessive no of LARGE brocolli florets like Ibis doesn't have any other veggies ! I spoke to him and confirmed that he had INDEED  added lemon and garlic and these 2 were the flavour profiles instead of chilli & basil! He didn't have to tell me abt presence of these 2 ingredients. They were so overpowering that this is ALL I cd taste! Moreover there's no mention of a sauce in this dish on the menu, it sounds like a dry stir fried item with veggies on the side. Chilli & basil were instead used like a garnish in this dish in spite of my repeated requests to just add More. What the dish needs is a basil chilli paste to give FLAVOR , not 4 leaves of basil and 4 slivers of chilli for God's sake! And what in God's name was lemon doing in that dish? Either mention on menu or DO NOT PUT IN DISH. ultimately I gave up and got this bland mess packed without eating. But it will just be thrown out now. It wasn't nice at all and it was a big waste of our time as well as Rs 315+ tax levied to guest in room 609. There was no manager in sight and no one who cd even address our issue! Never again.

I visited here Yesterday, and the food and service was what I expect from an Accor Brand Hotel.

The buffet was good, better than what I have experienced with similar category hotels in Delhi NCR, on top of that the live music was a cherry on the cake.

It was a very special day for me and I did not wanted that to get off track at any cost and to be honest the entire staff is prompt and courteous that I want to come again with my mom and dad this time.

Special shout out to BALRAM at the spice restaurant for attending my table and being instantaneous and vigilant for all my requests to be fulfilled.

It was my bad to visit this pathetic place.Such a waste of time and money to go there for food. Such a bad food with limited options and hopeless service .if you order something basic stuff like bread or something you have to wait for atleast half an hour to get any response. Staff think they are doing some favour to serve you food specially their manager Mr. VIJAY and Arrogant lady staff Ms. SOMIT and Mr. JATIN . Its like you are paying for food and getting such a bad rude treatment . They dont know even H of Hospitality. Dont know how they run a restaurant. They are just Ruining the reputation of...
