The Bikers Cafe — Restaurant in Kolkata

We went on a Sunday for breakfast at 9.30 AM. The place has a good ambience, nice feel in the insides, with some board games kept in a rack and a couple of other indoor games. You are welcomed with an actual bike kept inside (or a close replica, I couldn't say for sure as I have not much of an idea). Western music with a comfortable decibel level was being played in the background. I shall be describing the experience with regards to food and service below.

Service - slow. Waiters not willing to suggest anything. Not a very pleasant experience. The waiters don't clearly know what all drinks are covered in the Zomato gold category. Initially we were told the health drinks were covered too but to be told otherwise later on while we had already spent a good amount of time deciding on those. Again, our alloted waiter wasn't sure if 2 persons can utilize 2+2 on drinks. He had got it confused with 1+1 of food. Another unpleasant occurrence was some of the waiters had a heated discussion around 10.15 over something and it was pretty loud and disturbing. We went on 4.08.2019.

Food and drinks - food is slightly low on quantity. Or you could say that they are slightly overpriced for the quantity. We ordered Arnold Palmer (lemonade with iced tea), hazelnut coffee, all American breakfast with bacon and eggs and Spanish heaven. The Spanish heaven was particularly very good. The omelette was wonderful. The American breakfast was a bit so-so with a normal omelette of three eggs, some beans, 2 sausages, 2 slices of bread and bacon. Both the drinks were good. Although the second hazelnut was towards the sweeter side than the first. Upon request they removed the 6 percent service charge.

We would like to suggest the restaurant to improve their service, make it more prompt, suggest that the waiters put a pleasant face and wish customers and help us chose the best orders....

Their coffee is another highlight, rich and aromatic, perfect for a pick-me-up.

The staff at Bikers Cafe deserve a special mention. They were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about both the menu and the unique decor. Their passion for what they do really shines through in their service.

Located at a prime location , in Elgin Road , the bikers cafe is definitely one of the best in Kolkata . Starting from their dusky decor ,lovely music ( Bollywood+ Hollywood mix ) , comfortable seating space everything is on point. Very good ambience , decoration . But Gave 4 star because :

1. they charge both service tax and gst., though service tax is optional if you point that out to them ,they would reduce the amount from the bill.

2. The food s are a bit overpriced compared to the proportion s that they give .

3. they took long time to serve food dishes , when we ordered one by one.

We ordered blue lagoon , Irish coffee or something ( exactly don't remember the name ) , and cold coffee. The cold coffee deserves a separate mention. The next we ordered vegetables pizza 🍕 . It was scrumptious . Wat I felt could have increased the experience ,is that if. They add more vegetables on it .

After that we had ordered hungury baked fish with garlic sauce and sorte vegetables ( basa fish ) Frankly speaking the dish was tasteless 😔😔 though definitely it was a healthy dish .The butter garlic sauce didn't had strong flavour .

We liked the pizza more . Lastly , when the bill was served it had both service tax and gst added on it . After I pointed out the same , they reduced the amount from the bill , and we left the place happily.

Overall , this cafe is a nice ,lively space to visit . It serves alcohol and hookah too. And definitely not a pocket friendly joint.

Would visit the joint again....
