The one star rating is not their food.. their chilly potato chips is one of the best. The rating is for their pathetic customer service. I am not a regular customer but when i get a chance to go near by one of their branches, my favorite buy is potato chilly chips. Last time i visited this branch.. i was the second customer in line to be served. While i was waiting .. a lady walked in and asked the cashier if they have dosa batter. Looked like a regular customer. The cashier jumped out of her seat and ordered the person serving me to stop and go and look for what that lady asked. 5mins went by they couldn't find the Dosa batter.. but the cashier insisted to check somewhere else and got what that lady wanted.

And after that the cashier, serving person and that lady were talking while i was still waiting to be served. I had to repeat my order thrice and finally got what i wanted.

I agree i am not a regular customer but in any store there should be no discrimination between a customer from a certain religion/community vs. Others. It was very clear that the cashier's focus was people from a certain community.

TO GRAND SWEETS MANAGEMENT: it is your choice in how or which customer you want to serve. But be bold in putting a sign board stating we will give prority to customers from certain community and others will be treated as second class customers..let the people decide if they want to come to your store.

DON'T humiliate...

I am not giving a 1 star for the food but for the wrong attitude of the staff. I have been buying at this outlet ever since they started and never had any issues. Yesterday I bought their managalore boli (Which is something I have eaten at grand sweets for many years) and when I brought it home, I found only very less portion available. I know what a full Boli looks like and the person who packed it was new and he went inside and said will pack and come when I asked him. Since that was usual I agreed and when I returned home I found hardly one and half boli only and I immediately called the store. All i wanted was to give a feedback on what happened and I never wanted that in return as such an incident has never happened to me. Who ever was Mr Subbiah kept on arguing and was not willing to listen to the issue. He kept blaming me that I would have kept it in heat and that I should weigh it and see. It was a common sense issue when he said I should weigh the boli and see when am at home.

I even told him that I don need it replaced or money given but was only a call for feedback but till the last moment he kept arguing.

I still like their products though it is expensive. But this kind of attitude is something that needs a change if they want to sustain longer. Mr Subbiah please change your attitude as this is a service industry and you need to be receptive to feedback. If you can take only good feedback then you better change...

Visited this place twice for evening snacks particularly.. I would not hesitate to rate it as not so good place to visit and would never recommend it to anyone..

Firstly I would recommend that you avoid going to this restaurant (between 6 to 8 atleast and with a four-wheeler)..

For the food is overpriced while the quality was not at its best.. Bought their normal size samosa in 2 numbers for 78 INR.. This was served in an paper plate with no side dish.. Just in case if you are having this you need to request for sauce otherwise it will never come to your notice.. I was hoping for atleast fair level of heat which disappointed me..

Further ordered a plate of kuzhi paniyaram where it was cold and accompaning sambar was stale and not tasty at all..

I didn't come to this decision of not going back was limited to 2 samosas.. I went ahead and bought 'Kunguma poo basundhi' which I expected to be cold one which again disappointed me.. This was served in a good quality ever-silver cup.. I had to assume that this restaurant doesn't has a good refrigerator to cool this basundhi.. You can find a better basundhi @ A2B..

To conclude, this restaurant with not so good ambience which is noticeable for when you are travelling on a main road doesn't live up to its billing.. Waste of time and this will never fulfill your appetite...
