Genuinely bewildered at what the hype is about in this place. 4 of us went on a Sunday afternoon with the hope of having a good cuppa. We spent nearly a 1000 bucks. I don't know what's it about these places that overprice and underdeliver The oat milk cappuccino was disastrous. There's a reason oatmilk is preferred non diary alternative by coffee lovers. It frothes well and enhances the taste of the beans so you can identify the undertones. What was served to us was just a steaming hot watery liquid. The cold coffee had been made with instant coffee powder and not even disguised to hide the poor blending. The granules were literally floating around and kept getting stuck down the throat leaving a horrid aftertaste. Mocha frappe was like an overloaded sugar treat. I think they forgot to add coffee and chocolate aka mocha to the sugary drink.
Finally the filter coffee which was the least horrid one of them all.. had the semblance of a good coffee but certainly not worth the 200 odd price tag.
The hype and glam associated with these places often makes common folk question their palette and the effort worth to go up and cause a fuss. We enjoy a good coffee and are certainly coffee enthusiasts having experimented with enough beans and brew types including aeropress and moka pot and we were really looking forward to a good cuppa similar to our experiences abroad.
Heavily disappointed with this ripoff for...

The order is placed and a token is served before beverages and food arrive. This system can be confusing. Good news, you can be seated anywhere. The staff are genuine and kind who are patient in guiding you in. 100 points for service and conversation. Customer experiences need to allow for innovation. The barista allowed for a best selling cold brew variant to be tweaked, thanks.
The food although generous in cheese lacks authenticity. The meat I have ordered on multiple occasions has not risen to the need of the hour, remaining chewy and tough contrasting the intended flavour experience one is otherwise supposed to have while appreciating cusinies from other lands.
Smokers are allowed to sit outside. The insides could use larger windows that are open with some green and light.
There needs to be a disability audit for this place to make it accessible by a diverse set of audiences. Might change the whole experience. Until we meet again, 2.5 stars. I like the place and hope to return and revise this...

SOROCO is a lovely word play on SOuth ROasted COffee. A cute cafe adjoining Amadora with common seating (I'm assuming they have the same owner). It's a perfect place for a quiet getaway during the day.
BEVERAGE: They have an ample collection of coffees with a few options of hot chocolate and tea. We ordered an iced Americano and Cafe Mocha. Both were very good. I ended up having 2 Cafe Mochas. They allow you to choose the roast of the bean required. *The coffee had a slight (but pleasant) nutty flavour.
FOOD: The place has STOPPED serving food. There are only beverages. (Next door Amadora offers some great desserts though).
AMBIENCE: You will love the ambience. Decor is classic white There's a LOT of greenery around with some really old trees. It's VERY PLEASING to the eye. Place is Shaded. Indoor seating is with Amadora only. So much greenery around. You can hear bird's and see squirrel running around the trees. Hardly any traffic noise.
SERVICE: Very prompt service. We were waited by the barista herself who had some good...
