Douglas Farmers Market — Local services in Cork

The Douglas Farmers Market happens every Saturday. Located just outside the Douglas Shopping Centre near the gas station. This is definitely worth a visit if you want to find something refreshing. You need to bring cash as most stalls will only accept cash. If you forgot to bring it, don't worry there are banks nearby where you can withdraw cash. Will definitely go back and try some other dishes.Here's are some of my favorites:

Fresh pasta - Food may take 15-20 minutes to prepare so you might need to shop around first then come back for it. Pasta is made fresh and its definitely worth the wait. They cook it right on the spot and the price was worth it. Serving is great and the food tastes fantastic! An authentic dish i must say!

Brendans Burritos - Great tasting quesadillas! I ordered the steak quesadilla and it was a mouthful! Its tastes wonderful! One of the best I have ever tasted. Food preparation may take 10 to 15 minutes as they create it fresh as well

I love coming here every Saturday and trying out the different food at the variety of stalls. Everything you order, no matter what stall it is, is extremely delicious, and is a great way to start every weekend by coming here and eating something different each time. The atmosphere is also fantastic, a great buzz there among the crowd, and they always have someone playing music there, which gives the feeling that you're away on holidays somewhere. There's a small stall here that specializes in selling chocolate. I've forgotten its name, but the chocolate there is really delicious. It's made from pure cocoa. I wouldn't say it's the best in Cork, but it's definitely among the top three. If you're a die-hard chocolate lover but don't like it too sweet, you must order the 75% hot dark chocolate.
