KC & Son & Sons is a Cork staple! It is definitely worth the drive to Douglas to go stand in the queue down the street from their door way! Their pittas are really worth it! Staff: The staff are very friendly here. They are also very attentive and get the order right everytime no matter how big your order is. Food: They have so many choices to choose from here with their Pittas being the main items that they are known for! Some of their best pittas in my own opinion are the King Creole (Chicken), the Philly Steak (Beef) and my personal favourites the Angry Spaniard (Chicken & Chorizo) and the Kansas City Pitta (Pork). The Angry Spaniard is a hot Pitta filled Chips, Mayo, Lettuce and topped off with Chorizo, Chicken and hot sauce! Then the Kansas City Pitta is a hot Pitta filled with Chips, Mayo, Lettuce, sliced gherkin and topped off with slow roasted pork belly that is rubbed with their own blend of spices and coated in a homemade BBQ sauce! Whats not to love! They also serve really tasty burgers and they have the world of side options. These range from chips to Pineapple Fritters to their famous Chicken Bombays. They have these huge bags too if you order a lot of food or if you need to carry your option in one bag. Handy to bring it on a picnic. Queue: Don't be phased by the queue here as sometimes it could be 10 people long and just inside the premises or 30 people deep outsode of the premises! It does move fast and you won't be waiting any longer than 30 minutes to get inside to make your order. Layout: The new layout is much more efficient and it goes as follows: You walk up one side of the queuing area inside the premesis and at the top of this side you place your order, then turn at the top and you walk back down the other side towards the doorway and they will have your order prepaired and ready for collection juat as you go out the door! Overall Recommendation: I highly recommend calling to KC & Son & Sons as its a Cork staple! I always find myself here every couple of weeks and I nearly always find myself going for something different to what I ordered last time!

Very Disappointed – Philly Steak Pita Quality Is Now Horrible I’ve been ordering from Casey’s for around 10 years and always enjoyed the Philly Steak pita. I used to get it fairly often over the years, and it was always great. I hadn’t ordered anything for about a year, but in the last two months I started visiting Casey’s again. I ordered the Philly Steak pita three times — and each time, the quality of the beef was really bad. Yesterday’s order was the worst. The beef was cheap, full of fatty bits, no taste, tough to chew — just horrible. It’s definitely not the same as it used to be. I don’t know what happened, but the quality has gone way down, and I’m really disappointed. My son did get a pita recently, I think with curry sauce, and he really enjoyed it — so not everything is bad. But the Philly Steak pita definitely needs attention. I hope the quality improves, because it used to be one of the best.

This is a staple place in Douglas Cork. The lines are often long so make sure you are early as the queue can be lengthy in an instant. This is a take away restaurant which give good value for your money. For starters, I would recommend their chimichangas. Flying Fish is a favorite pita as well. If you are ordering their pita for the first time, i don't suggest ordering a side as their pita can be a mouthful already unless you are really hungry you are welcome to try all. I can hear the locals customize their orders for their pita so read their menu if you like something added or taken off that can be done depending on your preference. They are open on 4:30 pm until 11:00 pm. I included their menu on the picture so you can plan what food you will order in case you visit

KC and Sons: A Fast-Food Gem with a Diverse and Delicious Menu Fast food is often about convenience and familiarity, but every so often, a place comes along that elevates the concept, combining speed with quality, variety, and flavor. For me, KC and Sons stands out as a shining example of what a fantastic fast-food experience can be. With its diverse menu, consistently delicious offerings, and friendly atmosphere, it has quickly become a go-to spot for satisfying cravings, whether I’m in the mood for comfort food classics or something a bit more adventurous.

A Menu That Has It All One of the things that sets KC and Sons apart is its impressively diverse menu. Unlike many fast-food establishments that stick to a narrow selection, KC and Sons offers something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy burger, crispy fried chicken, fresh salads, or even hearty pasta dishes, they’ve got you covered.

What truly impressed me was the attention to detail in every category. The burgers, for instance, aren’t just slapped together—they’re made with care, featuring perfectly grilled patties, fresh toppings, and buns that strike the ideal balance between soft and sturdy. Meanwhile, their fried chicken is consistently golden and crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning to make it irresistibly flavorful.

For those looking for lighter options, their salads and wraps are equally satisfying, packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The menu even includes a range of sides and desserts, ensuring that every craving is catered to. It’s rare to find such variety in a fast-food setting, and KC and Sons delivers on all fronts.

Quality You Can Taste At KC and Sons, it’s clear that quality is a priority. Every dish I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The ingredients taste authentic and well-sourced, which is no small feat for a fast-food joint. Even the little details, like their sauces and condiments, feel thoughtfully crafted to complement the dishes they accompany.

The portions are generous without being overwhelming, striking that perfect balance between indulgence and satisfaction. And while fast food is often synonymous with grease and heaviness, KC and Sons manages to keep their offerings flavorful without feeling overly rich or unhealthy.

A Welcoming Atmosphere Another reason I keep coming back to KC and Sons is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and efficient, always greeting customers with a smile and ensuring that orders are prepared quickly and accurately. Whether you’re dining in or taking your meal to go, the experience feels effortless and pleasant.

The space itself is clean and inviting, with a layout that accommodates both solo diners and families. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a casual meal without feeling rushed or crowded.

Why It’s Fantastic KC and Sons isn’t just a fast-food restaurant; it’s a testament to what’s possible when variety, quality, and customer service come together. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or indulging in a full meal, it’s a place that consistently delivers satisfaction.

For anyone looking for a fast-food experience that goes above and beyond, KC and Sons is a must-visit. With its diverse menu, delicious offerings, and welcoming vibe, it’s a place that truly lives up to its...

It really baffles me to see a few comments saying that this place has gone downhill recently. I actually think there's huge improvements recently.

First of all their chips, which 10 years ago I never thought were that great, have been the best they've ever been. Always crisp and golden recently which I thought was never the case, as well as their most popular items being a more tastier now too. The new ordering system where you queue to a till facing the door first to place your order instead of shouting across to the counter, and then given a slip with your full order details and a matching order number to then give the staff members who hand you your order is a lot more efficient too. The below comment asking how they can call themselves a chipper if they don't put salt and vinegar on the chips for you is quite unusual, because I don't understand how they can only be a chipper if they do that, it makes no sense to me. This is despite that they have a large amount of salt and vinegar sachets on the counter for you to take as many as you like and for you to put your preferred amount on, which I consider way better service than someone putting an assumed amount of salt and vinegar on for you, and you potentially not liking it.

On top of that, the staff are hugely friendly. There's one guy in particular that I've only noticed there in recent months that's black haired, Diego I think the slip said his name was when he took my order one day, that's hugely friendly, as he's always interacting with customers, either to take their order or hand it to them at the end, and he's always so pleasant. There's another guy that's been there for several years that's also hugely friendly who talks to you when he sees you on the street too. Overall, it's a very...
