We recently came for brunch, and our experience was mixed to say the least. After waiting for 20 minutes, we were informed that we had a limited dining time of 1 hour and 15 minutes due to not booking in advance, which we didn’t mind.

The pricing here is on par with what you might find in Cork City, but regrettably, both the service and the food left a forgettable impression. It's worth noting that the waitress who took care of our table did not wear a name tag, making it impossible for me to mention her by name. She had blemished skin, dark hair, and glasses. Her service left much to be desired.

She seemed distracted and not entirely focused on her job. Our orders were mixed up, and even simple requests for water and the bill were forgotten.

We found ourselves waiting for extended periods, and to our surprise, we noticed her standing behind the bar, seemingly preoccupied with polishing cutlery. When we finally approached the bar to remind her of our requests, she didn't even recall that we had asked for water and the bill. It left us feeling disappointed, as the service was far from great.

In summary, the food was average and the lackluster service. Though I won’t be coming back I wish them...

Came here for breakfast. My friend had arrived before me and was told by the host that the table would need to be back in 1hr 30 mins which was fine. We ordered our food and 30 mins later my friend asked if maybe our order was forgotten. The waitress was very apologetically as she had forgotten to put in the order and the place was very busy so we honestly didn’t mind. We asked if we would still need to give up the table by the required time and was told we would not, as our food hadn’t arrived yet. Right in the dot of the hour and 30 mins the host came over with the bill and said here’s the bill and I have another group waiting at the door for this table. This host was a young blonde girl and we both found her delivery extremely rude, especially after what happened. We have no issues with our order being forgotten as waitress was very nice and apologetically but the host...

I’ve went to 12 Tables on a few occasions and I always have the same complaints. Despite the staff appearing to be caring on the surface they constantly do very inconsiderate things. As we are currently in a pandemic I’d expect the tables to be sanitised after each customer but this is far from what happens. I saw a male waiter just brush the crumbs off the table with a menu and call in new customers. I was very disappointed. Last but not least the portion sizes and cost do not align. The meals are small and you pay top dollar for there meals, not good enough. I got a breakfast last week and I was left starving afterwards, and I do have a relatively small apatite.

Poor and overrated , the positive reviews are understandable by the attractive restaurant at the surface but if you look at it...

The 12 tables now offer Evening Dining Friday and Saturday. Decided to dine there with my wife on Saturday. The first thing you will notice is the lovely Ambience the minute you step inside. A nice friendly welcome by a staff member, and a noticeable buzz around the already busy restaurant. Service was excellent and the main course was served within 20 minutes, giving us a chance to settle in and enjoy a glass of wine. Steak for myself which was perfectly cooked , succulent and full of flavour. My wife had Salmon which was also top class. Portions were more than enough and a superb desert followed. Servers were attentive and all in all a very enjoyable evening. Well done to the hard working Kitchen Staff , and yet another superb Evening Dining Spot has been added to Douglas. Advisable to book beforehand.

Update Feb 2020. Promotion from 4-5 stars after breakfast there yesterday. No annoying background music this time. Food was tremendous and service on point 👍 Good location in Douglas Village, parking may be a problem so think ahead before you travel there. Our two starters, mussels and monkfish goujons were substantial and tasty. Service is friendly and efficient. Our two mains were burger and fish stew (?). Both were very tasty. The only downside was the piped musak which was annoying and inappropriate for this type of restaurant. It consisted of low drumming solo, which became quite irritating while we were there. Some very nice funky jazz would suit this restaurant better. Recommended.

We have been to 12 tables a few times and we always have a great time. Today I had the "Sir Henry" and the poached eggs were a tiny bit overdone. However, I still enjoyed the food and I have gotten the veggie hash before which is always lovely! My partner had the Pom Lionheart, his eggs were a small bit under-done and the black pudding a small bit over-done. However, he also enjoyed his food - especially the honey baked ham he ordered extra 👌🏻👌🏻 we also had the pistachio bomb which was absolutely amazing!
