Went with my mum and my little brother to treat ourselves and eat out. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, my mum ordered the soup and my brother ordered a simple kids chicken and chips meal (which they still messed up). My mums ‘soup’ tasted as if a stock cube was thrown into hot water and served with some noodles and about 3 pieces of chicken, it was inedible. My sweet and sour was absolutely swimming in sauce with the tiniest portion of rice compared to the amount of sauce that was given. They brought mine and my mums dishes over and my mum actually got confused and asked why we got two soups because my dish was so watery and swimming with sauce. Had about 2 spoons and simply couldn’t eat it. The only thing that was edible was my brothers kids meal of simple chicken and chips (which they forgot the chicken for the chicken and chips meal…) so we had to wait longer for them to make that and half the chips we’re eaten by the time they came. All three of us had to share one kids meal as the other two dishes we got were that absolutely awful. My brother, who is 8, had a taste of both our dishes, the soup and the sweet and sour and he said the soup was bland and tasted of nothing and all he managed to get off my ‘sweet and sour’ were spoonfuls of sauce.. so he offered to share his chicken and chips with us. Absolutely waste of 35 euro when all that was actually edible was the 8 euro chicken and chips and me and my mum left hungry .. wouldn’t recommend to ANYONE. It was absolutely disgusting. The photo literally shows the comparison of my sweet and sour to my mums soup which was nearly as watery as the soup. Doesn’t even deserve one star..

Let's start with the fact that a place called Ramen doesn't have ramen on the menu. The only dish with "ramen" in the name is the one in the photo. It tasted like overcooked instant noodles with chicken and vegetables. As for the staff, they don't care at all. The girl continued chatting with a colleague even after she saw me approach the counter. The guy doesn't know what ramen is, so I had to explain it to him. He eventually said the dish in the photo is ramen, which is simply ridiculous. The atmosphere is completely inconsistent with the Asian setting. It's a simple eatery with indifferent staff and low-quality food.

We had the most unpleasant food of our lives in Ramen, Douglas where the staff was really unwelcoming, always occupied so much so that we had to go upto the till to ask for forks and napkins after our food arrived. The food was horrendous at best with lots and lots of soy sauce (I know certain dishes have more soy sauce than others, but ours was floating in soy sauce and the entire dish was bitter) Would recommend everyone to find a better Ramen shop!

Never leave a bad review or try get people in trouble but this ramen in an absolute joke,

live 40 minutes away so rang before hand and put my order in and asked could I just pick it up and sit inside and eat it to which a nice lady on the phone said it would be no hassle. Get out then to an extremely rude lady who says I can’t do that because i would be wasting all the packaging that the food comes in and they where starting to clean up even though it was only 8 o’clock ? And after I explain that the lady I spoke to on the phone who had taken our order had told me it was no problem, she says she’s the manager and we aren’t allowed to sit down inside for food we literally paid 40 euro for and there was only about 6 people sitting down in there at the time . We then had an argument over the matter to which she was extremely rude and I just decided to just pay and leave. When I got home the order was completely wrong and I rang up looking for a refund only for the curry we didn’t receive. She then tells me on the phone that we’re lying and only doing this because of the argument we had previous, and then hangs the phone up on me. My girlfriend then rang and she said she would only talk to her because I’m such a rude person ? To then tell her the same thing and that all she can do is give us the right curry if we come collect it tomorrow? She then just says we aren’t giving a refund and hung up on her also. To make matters even more frustrating and difficult the manager had very poor English and we couldn’t even communicate properly she kept saying she couldn’t understand what we were trying to say. This is not the first time we’ve had hassle there with staff and we will never stepping foot inside...

We arrived at Ramen Douglas and made our order at 8:20, our food arrived and then at 8:50 a server arrived to tell us they were closing at 9, our meals not even half finished. There was no mention during when we entered and asked for a table or when we ordered that the restaurant would be closing at a set time. Immediately after the waiter spoke to us regarding the restaurant closing, the music turned off and the “owner/manager” arrived and was talking to the server, unbeknown to her us and the other tables in the restaurant could hear every word - Speaking of paying customers being so slow and telling customers to “hurry up” (after receiving our food 15-20 minutes prior). The “owner/manager” abruptly arrived arrived at 9pm to tell us we had to leave immediately as they weren’t insured to have customers in past 9. We attempted to discuss why this was not explained to us when ordering not even 30 minutes before the server came to tell us they were closing, the owner stormed off in a huff. We packed our entire meals into take away containers and proceeded to leave, when the “owner/manager” pushed us out the door and expelled that we were “the most ignorant customers we have had in a long time”. Before the door got slammed in my face, I attempted to explain that people (just like us) were travelling from afar to visit this restaurant and experience some good Asian cuisine and expect a bare minimum or hospitality, however, like I said, the door was slammed in my face :)

Anyway the “owner/manager” (in quotations because that is embarrassing) should find another career and stop putting young impressionable people under her order. Embarrassing,...
