Came over to Mount Nuggent for a gathering of English, French and Irish friends over a long weekeng one Muslim was among the group so the idea was to cook two meat curries and two vegetarian options. The problem came sourcing spices, it's easy in England with Asian shops on every corner but the Tesco's and supervalue stores in County Meath only stocked the basics. After surfing the web and asking an Indian guy and his wife in Navan I was eventually told about this place. It had only been open a few months but what a little gold mine. Incredible inflation on Akash 5kg basmati rice over the past 18 months: Jun 2020 €10.50, Jun 2021 €12.99, Dec 2021 €14. Of course this could be down to the whim of the cashier - hard to say with the lack of ticketing. Same product only €10.95 at Asian Market in Dublin.

Shopped Sat Am, greeted by lovely people and staff. All very helpful as I looked lost. Had my list for Thia Red Curry, i was asked if I need help, which I did. Got all my list while he was holding his beautiful toddler and his daughter following him around. Such wonderful, happy, relaxed environment. I am so pleased with my Local Asian store.
