I recently visited the Central Bar, hoping to enjoy an evening of live music with my brother. However, my experience quickly turned from disappointing to humiliating, as I encountered a series of unprofessional and abusive interactions with bar staff and security.

Upon entering the restroom, I mistakenly used a toilet that was allegedly out of order, only to find it fully functional. Despite this, I was approached by a bar staff member who was on a power trip, using vulgar language and threatening to "have me put out." This individual directed a member of security to further harass me, following me around and later attempting to take my drink off the table and force me to leave the venue.

Throughout this ordeal, I was spoken to and treated like a dog by both bar staff and security. The behavior of these individuals implied that I was some sort of thug, despite my good character. This was a very embarrassing situation that escalated for absolutely no reasonable grounds.

Prior to this experience, I had previously had a very positive experience at the Central Bar. I had enjoyed the music, the atmosphere, and the service. However, this recent visit has left me feeling disheartened and disrespected.

I hope that the management of the Central Bar will take the necessary steps to address the unprofessional behavior of their staff and security. I urge them to prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that their employees are trained to treat all patrons with respect and dignity.

I would not recommend the Central Bar to anyone seeking a satisfying evening out. I hope that my review will encourage the Central Bar to make the necessary changes to improve their service and ensure that all patrons are treated with respect...

Well let’s talk about the king of rudeness! The central advertise themselves as dog friendly in their outdoor areas…I wouldn’t say it’s even dog tolerable 😂 we arrived in with a dog and asked the waitress if we could get a seat out back in their garden and she was very obnoxious especially when we said we had a dog with us. She told us to walk around and come in the side entrance which was no problem for us we totally understood. We then waited 15 minutes thinking she would come to us in the garden with a menu to no avail. I went inside to ask for menus and the waitress said they weren’t serving outside. When I informed her we had a dog, she was very condescending and frowned upon the fact we had a dog. The worst part is we had organised this visit with the manager as we had been chatting on social media. With all the rudeness we had been subjected to we decided to leave and headed for jackal where we were greeted with friendly faces and great company. This place is a joke. 2 other tables eating when we entered. 5 staff members were on duty, my partner and myself sat down at a table and waited for menus to be brought over. We sat for 10 minutes with not even being acknowledged by staff members who walked by us several times. 3 suited men then entered the restaurant, the manager and 3 waiters quickly proceeded to them and handed menus and served water and begun to take their drinks order, we had been seated for 10 minutes . As we stood to leave due to severely poor service the staff looked at us and returned to serving the 3 men. I proceeded to inform the staff that we were there first and were constantly ignored for the entire time we were there. As we were leaving we were approached by the manager who pretended to apologise for the lack of service, however this was a charade so she could berate us for tackling her staff. We were not made to feel welcome. And were shouted at by the manager who did not reprimand her staff for failing to do their job. I have never been so angry about such an encounter.
