Nice, friendly staff and the place is always really clean. I love how child friendly this place is and you don’t have to worry about having a small baby that is crying or needs feeding (no one stares as it’s such a child friendly environment) There was even a table set up with big teddies sitting on either side of the table which was a lovely idea! I visited here on Wednesday morning for breakfast and myself and my friend got the avocado on toast. On the menu it said it came on a baguette with tomatoes, salsa and poached eggs. I asked for this without the poached eggs but with everything else and was told I would just get the avocado on plain toast because it was easier and cheaper. When it came the avocado was like baby food. It was like a purée or a spread rather than a freshly smashed avocado. When I tasted it I couldn’t believe how strongly flavoured it was with garlic and onion, it was more like a processed guacamole spread that was scooped out of a tub or jar! I also received plain toast to spread it on to instead of the lovely baguette type bread that was on the menu so it looked rather disappointing on the plate and tasted awful. At that hour of the morning those flavours were way too much I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth for the whole day. I wouldn’t be one to leave a bad review but I just felt it had to be said because my friend got the same breakfast and found the avocado spread to be way too overpowering at that hour of...

Overpriced breakfast and not value for money . Ordered full traditional breakfast . Sausages are like cocktail sausages . And a small portioned breakfast . Which doesn't include coffee. Is charged extra is a very small cup

I was charged over 14euro for this And when I questioned this price paying at end I was told prices are not the same .breakfast without coffee is 10.50 instead of 9 . I was giving a menu with the price of 9.euro for breakfast and insisted that's all I should be paying . Again managing superivisor was insistant that is there prices now and Ive to pay and was unapolgetic . And I did not receive my correct change .

The original waitress serving me was nice and seemed embarrassed by this but girl at bar was lacking customer service .

Having left after breakfast I had seen weatherspoons offering Full breakfast in there window with free refills of coffee for 6.50 . I would much prefer to support local business but when been ripped off like this as such and rude customer service knowingly I was giving an outdated menu prices Will go.elsewhere in future . This is not gourmet food for that...

Today was my second time at No 9 Cafe and I have to say the staff were so nice and welcoming. The baby and kids menu is excellent. My 16 month old gobbled up his fishy dinner which is rare, dinner time is usually a battle. Then my 5 and 7 Yr old loved their fish tempura and chips. I got the pulled pork bap which was very tasty and my partner got the roast chicken. The only issue he had was cold potatoes, but we didn't complain and it wouldn't put me off at all. It's so nice to have somewhere that we can all eat and the play room is a great addition. We sat and chatted while the kids played. It's great to see a cafe catering for kids, from the breadsticks, water cups, colouring pic and crayons, to the playroom and fantastic menu. If I lived in Waterford this would be my favourite place to meet friends with kids. We need a no 9 cafe in Wexford badly. Oh and from reading some negative reviews about your staff, I honestly haven't a clue what that's about as the three staff members that we dealt with were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Thanks for a lovely meal,...

lovely restaurant and very polite friendly staff , but very sneaky and waaaaay overpriced and absolutely no flexibility . i initially wanted a full Irish but i don't like tomatoes or mushrooms so asked could i swap them for a rasher and sausage. they said no and I'd have to order the 8 item breakfast which is 11.50, so I did. After ordering he asked tea or coffee which I asked for coffee . by the time I got food the coffee was gone so I asked for a refill with the food . when I went to pay , i was charged 18.50. they charged for each coffee . they never indicated this while I was ordering . tea /coffee is always included. this is very sneaky. this and the fact that it cost 18.50 for a fry up is the reason i won't be back here again .

Canadian Pancakes "Homemade pancakes with three rashers of Irish bacon, real maple syrup & fresh blueberries" To the managment please look at the picture attached and tell me you are happy that I was served what you advertise above. Hands down the worst food I have ever been handed in a restaurant. Even more shocking that someone left this out the kitchen, I thought I had been given somebody's leftovers. Boiled fatty bacon, ripped apart over rock hard cold broken pancakes. I will make the point that I was not charged for this having brought this to the attention of the unapologetic staff at the till. I paid €40+ for the rest of my family's breakfast and left hungry. Needless to say, won't be returning.

The service was quite good in Cafe No 9, and the staff are friendly. The salad portions were really good. When it comes to food, I am a little bit fussy. 😊 I normally order something that I won't cook at home or it's too complicated. I had haloumi cheese salad, and I would enjoyed it more if the dressing had a little bit of honey or something sweet on top of the cheese. Also, the dressing was a little bit too oily for my liking. Friend of mine who is very easy going, thought that garlic mushrooms were over done. I have to say, they were very small mushrooms too. I will be trying something else when I'll be in Waterford next. 🙂
