È anche una delle principali vie dello shopping di Waterford. La maggior parte degli edifici è di epoca moderna, ma intorno alla piazza si trovano diversi edifici di epoca georgiana, oltre alla Cattedrale della Santissima Trinità e all'Abbazia di Blackfriars, situate appena fuori dalla piazza. Bar, ristoranti e numerosi negozi circondano questa zona della City. John Roberts Square si trova a soli 5 minuti a piedi dal Fitzwilton Hotel
