Bell Pepper — Restaurant in Waterford

I have tried three times now and will never give another cent to this place. If you have ever eaten real Thai food or even been to Thailand you would be ashamed to say this is Thai. 1st time I ate here I threw the food out inedible was swimming in sauce almost a soup NOT Pad Thai, my partner who is Veg found chicken in food also threw it out, 2nd time few dishes ordered, prawn dish and prawns were vile weird tasting and rubbery assumed frozen and over cooked, also all other dishes tasted same in same overly sweet sauce and way too much sauce everything swimming, today went for something simple thought no way can anyone get it wrong Tofu & Cashew Fried Rice - Came out swimming is the same old over sweet sauce that they drown everything in and ZERO tofu or cashew, said to girl that main ingredients are missing she said Öh Okay" and nothing else but still charged me for soupy rice with 2x onion and a bit of mushroom swimming in there. Im sorry but there was NO similarity to fried rice, fried rice is NEVER soupy. ALSO WARNING as you can see Chef - HE PULLS FACE MASK DOWN UNDER HIS CHIN WHEN COOKING - NOT COVID SAFE - AVOID like PLAGUE Further to owners response - This response is totally fabricated, yes I wrote an email this has been added to by him and his story of not enough cashew is a lie as well, I had zero that was the conversation. I would prefer to give this no star. Went to this establishment recently for my daughters birthday. I was asked to pay before we ate which was unusual but I did. I was asked by staff member to insert my card again as first payment didn't go through even though I pointed out that first transaction was approved on monitor. Staff members said they were having problems with new system. We received our meal which was mediocre and before I left I checked my bank statement and showed staff member I had in fact paid twice. I asked for refund and he said they had no cash and I would have to wait 1 to 3 days for refund to my bank. After 3 days I contacted staff member to say there was no refund in my bank. He said he would get it to me in 3 days time. When I said that wasn't good enough he became very annoyed. 3 days later I rang and asked at what time was I receiving my reimbursement and reluctantly after telling him I was not waiting all day he gave me a time. After I received my money I asked that the manager phone me which he did so I could explain my disappointment at the treatment I received. While I got a half hearted apology from manager i felt he was disinterested in what i had to say and very dismissive.......I should not have to wait 6 days to be reimbursed with my money and have to contact this premises numerous times. Up until today I only had great things to say about this place. Good fresh food at a reasonable price. I would usually go in here with my partner and we would get the lunch special for 8.99 which is a good price for these days. However, I went in here this evening and I ordered off the evening menu and I got my usually massaman curry (prawns) with rice and it came up to €20? I asked the lady at the till why it cost that much when I was paying and she said you have to pay extra for the rice now and that it doesn’t come with the meal.

Sorry but I honestly think that’s scandalous, I have never come across a place that charges you extra for rice if you get a curry.

Every time I’ve come in for the lunch special I’d basically get the same thing I got tonight but with tofu instead and the rice always comes with the meal.
