Scirocco is a B and B like a B and B used to be. Not merely a place to sleep and grab something to eat. No, no, Nicole is the ultimate host. This B and B is a place where you sit with Nicole and other guests over a glass of wine in the evening and chat. This is a B and B where breakfast is served to all guests on the same long table, on the amazing roof terrace and you don't know what you enjoy more, the food (God bless Nicole's mother, what fantastic cakes -- I personally loved the orange one), the company ( we met most interesting people, our age, 60+, and much younger) or the view.|| Ah, the view, I should have started with the view. Scirocco's roof is a huge terrace above all the roofs of Cefalu's historic part and just 400 meters from the massive rock, and 300 meters from the sea. So wherever you look you just go "Wow" , or "I don't believe it", until you relax, sit down with you beer and enjoy the sunset.||And how are the rooms? Very clean, rather big (OK, European standards) very comfortable, double glazing ( below is a pedestrian street, so no cars, but two cafes, so you do want to shut the window, though to be fair, it was not disturbing when we left it open, as we were on the third flour, or was it fourth?,). The bed was very comfortable and the view from the window was beautiful.||The only downside is that you have to climb the stairs to this BB. But come-on, after so many cups of espresso and all the calories which you have gained in one of Cefalu's restaurants (we are vegetarians so we highly recommend Le Chat Noir) , it is a good idea to climb those stairs. ||One of the photos I added is taken from the Rocca , the massive rock east of Cefalu, which you can climb. I marked the BB's roof.||If you like walking we highly recommend the mountains to the south. Allow yourself two days in these mountains, literary twenty minutes drive from the BB.||Nicole, thank you so much. We shall certainly come again....
Read moreI rarely hand out 5 stars but this place is deserving. The atmosphere/charm was beyond my expectations. |The view from my balcony was amazing facing the famous rock, monuments and churches. My room overlooked the hustling square below with coffee shops opening early and a bar closing late ( maybe not for light sleepers). The balcony was splendid for sitting out and enjoying the views and people watching.|Nicole, the host was very informative and welcoming. |The room has a good bed, amazing lighting, good space and big shower. The AC works well too. It is super clean with comfortable sheets. The pillows some may find a bit hard.|The breakfast starts at 830 which us a bit late for me but the coffee shop below opens early so that was a bonus .|Oh I didn’t even mention the views from the roof terrace- unbelievable!! |I hate to review this place so well because hopefully when I return, I will be able to get a room!! Very safe for solo travellers as well.|I would return here for sure as it was a perfect room in a perfect location. Thank...
Read moreScirocco B&B is one of the VERY best places I have ever had the privilege of staying at and I have traveled all around the world! Nicole, the owner, is super responsive and an amazing host! It was me, my husband, and our 17-year old daughter. We got two rooms for two nights and I wish we had stayed longer! Our room was spacious and SUPER clean & the bed was really comfy! (Our daughter's room was a great size, too, and of course, just as meticulously clean and comfortable!) We had a wrap around balcony with 2 sets of French doors looking into the historic square which was so cool--the view was awesome! But the view from our room didn't compare to the view from the roof deck! Just stunning! Nicole served delicious breakfasts from the roof deck overlooking both La Rocca and the water. You do have to go up 3 flights of stairs to access the B&B but they are SO WORTH IT! Parking...
