The best restaurant of our trip in Italy!! I don't usually write reviews but we had to leave a review for this restaurant! First, the service and ambiance are amazing! Arnaud, and the owners were very professional, friendly, warm, and attentive! The lighting, music, and atmosphere is spot on. The table sizes were very comfortable. Now to mention the food and drinks.. The food was prepared in a such a delicate way, we were all so impressed with our food both nights that we came. My father-in-law ordered the Baccalà, capers and lemon and said it was one of the best dishes he had ever had. Then came the desert and we were even more blown away! The owner came out to explain the desserts, that they are all made in house and the ingredients are sought out fresh from local markets. The pannacotta was like none other! As with the cannoli too! We also tried the chocolate and passionfruit mousse, the tiramisu, and the semifreddo. All so incredible. In summary, this restaurant kind of ruined the rest of the trip because the standard was set so high that nothing could beat it haha. Definitely go while you're in Cefalú

A very good experience, the restaurant is on the start of the hill so the view was nice and there was not so much traffic but you felt very close to everything. You were also getting a lot of fresh air on a rather warm day so that was a big plus! The service was a bit disoriented and a confusing at times but the restaurant was pretty full so it was completely understandable. The staff made up for the waiting time with their big smiles and knowledge for the food and wine. If there was one negative was that the women’s toilet was completely broken. The man’s toilet was clearly designed for men only since the seat was missing and it was quite low and a bit dirty so it couldn’t be used by a woman… If that wasn’t an issue I would have loved to stay more and enjoy the atmosphere but unfortunately it was a non negotiable and we had to leave faster than we wanted. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the panna cotta with chocolate, both were delicious!

Fantastic find as we were wandering the streets looking for a lunch spot on a Sunday. Our party of 4 came on a Sunday around 1:45 and were able to be seated right away. We ordered a bottle of wine and put our food orders in as well. The ambiance is a lovely enclosed terrace that was nicely heated and comfortable. The service was fantastic and our waiter was incredibly helpful. The lovely chef also came out and chatted with us for a bit about the food and the fact that he used to work on Cape Cod/Provincetown (which is our neck of the woods). The food we ordered was excellent and incredibly flavorful. The standouts were the eggplant tower (which is basically a small parmigiana), the bruschetta, the pasta alla Norma, and the octopus & potatoes. We also had the panna cotta which was fairly tart and the tiramisu which was lovely (the ladyfingers were generously soaked in espresso which was excellent). Strongly recommend trying this place out!

If you find yourself in Cefalù, Sicily, make sure to visit this gem of a restaurant — it’s an absolute must! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warmest, most energetic staff I’ve ever encountered. The team here truly loves what they do, and their passion shines through in both the service and the food.

Now, let’s talk about the food — simply incredible. The Bolognese sauce is, without question, a 10 out of 10. Rich, hearty, and packed with flavor, it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Every bite felt like a comforting hug from an Italian nonna — absolutely perfect.

The mussels were another standout. Fresh, plump, and cooked to perfection, they were bathed in a rich, garlicky sauce that had us eagerly mopping up every last drop with the delicious house bread. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to order a second round just to experience it again.

And then there’s the eggplant stack — wow. Layers of tender, melt-in-your-mouth eggplant, perfectly seasoned and topped with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. It was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — truly unforgettable.

But what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The staff are incredibly fun, loving, and friendly, making the entire dining experience feel like you’re part of their family. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest is happy, and their positive energy is contagious.

If you’re in Cefalù, do yourself a favor and make this restaurant a priority. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, this place delivers on all fronts. Fantastic food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable experience — five stars...

Since watching My Octopus Teacher I've had pretty mixed-to-negative feelings about picking octopus on a menu, but for this trip and for this restaurant in particular I put those feelings aside. And I'm glad I did, the octopus and potato starter was one of the best meals I had on the trip. The service was attentive, and the wine list was good, though for us, the suggested substitution for the wine I wanted, which wasn't available, wasn't as enjoyable as the original selection. No biggie, it was good, just not as good as I was hoping for.

I was happy to hear from the wait staff that my pick of the tuna and tuna belly was a solid choice, given it was in season. What I was less happy about was the way in which the tuna arrived, it was definitely way overcooked. I picked at it, ate some of it, and then asked about it, and one of the staff informed me that it was cooked in the manner the chef chose. I ate the bits that were not overdone, and left the rest. That sucked, not just because I was looking forward to eating it - but also because idk when you kill something... I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch, but I enjoy a respectful treatment of converting that living thing into food.

To the credit of the staff, they offered to cook me up another plate, which I turned down. They comped us a deconstructed cannoli and it was terrifically tasty.

Everything else we ate was amazing, location was good, service was spot on, and again I highly recommend...
