This review is worth the read: Incredible experience, the prices may seem a bit steep and overpriced but once you actually experience the entirety of it, it is great value for money and totally worth it. The company clearly have a right to charge around âŹ50 for an adult ticket clearly because of the state of the art facilities and views that are on offer. If you are a lover of mountains this should be on your bucket list. Youâll experience breathtaking high altitude views from the top station of Punta Helbronner which are absolutely incredible as youâll be about 3400m in altitude. Youâll be able to see Monte Bianco/Mont Blanc and itâs summit, as well as the surrounding alps and major surrounding peaks such as Matterhorn in Switzerland. The entire facility and cable car showcases state of the art modern Italian engineering with the cable car feeling very stable and safe being able to hold around 80 people at once. I am still yet to experience the other cable car on the French side in Chamonix, but considering this is the far newer and modern experience, I would encourage everyone to come over to Courmayeur here in Italy to experience the whole thing.
Remember that you can stay at each station as long as you like before it closes and that there are two cafeteria/restaurants at the lower station of Pavillon which is around 2100m in altitude. Up at the top station at Punta Helbronner, there is only one cafeteria and the prices everywhere in general for the food are not generally cheap for what you get. So I would suggest you eat down at Courmayeur before or after you head up as they are generally quite busy too. Also, make sure you wear heavy thick clothing especially if you plan to walk out at the top deck of Punta Helbronner where they have the 360 degree views as I walked out into -10 degrees C even at midday. Also remember that you can get a discount if you buy the âearly birdâ ticket about 15 days in advance and that some people may experience mild altitude sickness at the top, however, the few people that do suffer will acclimatise quickly but itâs nothing to be...
Read moreWow! Just wow! I have never thought that i would be able to see such a beautiful panorama. I mean, I was a little bit scared when i was in the cabine, but when we arrived up i couldnât find my words anymore. It is worth every penny for such a breathtaking view and to have some glasses of wine and just to forget about the world and be there, up, between the peaks of the mountains â° It was an unforgettable experience and I canât wait to...
Read moreFavolosa!
