Pizzeria la Remisa — Restaurant in Courmayeur

Best pizza I’ve eaten, hands down. I say that as a lifelong passionate food lover. I also come from an affluent part of the UK where finding authentically produced pizza is as easy as finding your local supermarket. Here I went for the capricciosa, a favourite of mine from my most frequented pub/pizza house back home. I thought the ones back home were excellent… this took those flavours and textures to a whole new level!! Also nearly twice the size and considerably cheaper. I spent a good 45 minutes tearing and enjoying this pizza with two large beers. The lady who greeted and served me was extremely attentive and wonderful in her mannerisms. Top service, top food in an unsuspecting location (next to the bus station terminal). Plenty of outdoor seating , some in shade, some in the sun. Would definitely return if I’m passing through again!

Annoyingly I forgot to pay (used to paying when ordering back in the UK) and only realised this 2-3 hours after my arrival back to my hotel! Fortunately the establishment is open late so I was able to run back down, apologise and pay up!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. So accommodating of our group of 11 and the lady who runs it is just the best host ever. Also Lorenzo is fabulous. The food is delicious. We shared some plates to start (bruschetta, lardo, caprese salad and charcuterie) and then had ravioli, vongole and various pizzas for mains. Pessimo rapporto qualità prezzo, di fatto mai è affollato.... Ho deciso di vedere cosa aveva cambiato il 1/12/2019. Mi avvicinai a la signora titolare che in molti scrivono che è gentilissima (niente a fatto) le chiedo se c'era un tavolo disponibile (vedendo tavoli vuoti, alcuno non sparecchiati, due tavolate una di 8 persone finendo e l'altra aspetando di quattro, mi risponde la propietaria con una risposta..: PER COSA?...ho risposto : per mangiare la pizza..bene mi risponde questa signora che di gentilissima non si vede nulla, e mi disse che non erano aperti, però proprio con un tono di voce che io con la mia necessità di mangiare aveva proprio dato fastidio. Alla faccia dei cartelli e insigni lluminosi con la scritta "APERTI". Non so come mai qui li danno 5 stelle e addirittura fanno lo sconto, in quanto a me mi hanno fregato l'anno scorso facendomi pagare 2 volte il tavolo (cioè le posate e il fazzoletto di carta). Volete passare un dispiaciuto momento... andate a visitare questi tipi di posti con dei titolari da incubo. Si questa attività non fallisse è sicuramente per il posto strategico che mantiene, altrimenti sprofonda... ha dimenticavo li ho datto una stella perché non mi lascia fare la recinzione, per me vale ZERO STELLE QUESTO RISTORANTE LA...
