Hotel Crampon — Hotel in Courmayeur

Here’s your review with the clarification:

Avoid this place!

The rooms are small and not well-maintained. The hotel is run by the arrogant Lorenza and Alicia.

The breakfast is extremely poor—no panini, no vegetables, and they only put a tiny two-egg omelet in the serving dish at a time, leaving guests waiting. Just four slices of cheese were available. The selection is cheap, and the service is disappointing.

Problematic Staff Behavior When we returned from skiing, the hotel owner accused us of damaging a door – a tiny crack, about the size of a pen. We estimated that fixing such minor damage would cost around €10-20, especially compared to the total cost of our stay (€2,200). However, the owner insisted that we pay for it, behaved aggressively, raised her voice, and even called the police instead of checking the security cameras as we requested.

End of the Stay Eventually, the police arrived and left immediately obviously without taking any action. However, we were forced to leave the hotel at 7 PM and find alternative accommodation under pressure. We have since filed a complaint with Booking.com and are awaiting...

We stayed at Hotel Crampon during our 2 night/3 day visit to Courmayeur. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and close to the main bus stop and restaurants. If you're lucky, you'll get a fantastic view from your room balcony (see photo). The complimentary breakfast in the morning was terrific as well. Not a fancy hotel and the room and facilities cannot be compared to the more modern buildings, given that this place has been around for decades (but continues to be renovated). However, I'd still say that Hotel Crampon is still one of the best lodging places in the area for travelers who need a nice place to rest before their sightseeing.

Lorenza and Alessia are the sisters who run the family business, and they are two of the most friendly people I've ever met. Lorenza has so many helpful tips for tourists—I recommend seeking her help in case you're confused or concerned about anything regarding your travel and schedule. Our stay was very enjoyable and stress-free because of the help from both sisters.

A wonderful place to stay at Courmayeur! Best position only two steps from the centre with all the amazing mountains around you! The rooms are neat and clean and you can sit on huge balconies with seats and table and enjoy the atmosphere. Or take a nap on the inviting sunbeds in the peaceful garden. The breakfast is really remarkable, much better than in most 3 star hotels, offering a vide range of sweet bakery, fresh fruit, regional products.. The owner and the staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They really do all they can to make you feel alright. Whatever is your concern they try to help you. Housekeeping, roomservice, breakfast staff and front desk, everybody was ready for a small friendly chat...and made me feel at home! I really do suggest Hotel Crampon at Courmayeur.
