Ristorante Lo Sciatore — Restaurant in Courmayeur

We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy little restaurant on a recent Thursday night. It was easy to book a table (at the last minute) and the staff was welcoming and friendly (also speaking English). The menu is approachable and the food was outstanding. The onion soup was warm and so comforting. Delish. I enjoyed the mixed salad to start and then devoured the beef with ham and cheese and roasted potatoes. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and delicious. He enjoyed the Dry Aged beef with fries. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned with the flaky salt. House wine accompanied my meal and a lovely parfait type dessert was the finale. Would definitely go back when...

Restaurant has okay food. However, the service and behaviour of the staff is terrible. Firstly their waitress actively ignores our requests for water and bread at the beginning of the evening. Secondly when another table spilt wine on my jacket, the restaurant staff did not care and argued with me that it was their other client’s fault. All potential customers must be aware that should they choose to go to lo sciatore, this place only cares about your payment. They absolutely do not care about hospitality and providing...

Non esiste una nota negativa in questo ristorante! Abbiamo mangiato 2 giorni di fila allo sciatore, dove ci hanno accolto e coccolato, nonostante avessimo un bambino, a Curma non tutti vedono i bimbi di buon occhio.

Il primo giorno: tagliatelle al cinghiale: il ragù aveva un sapore così autentico di cucina tradizionale, incredibile da provare davvero e poi si sentivano tutte le spezie. Penne al ragù:( per il bimbo) ragù anch esso strepitoso e saporito. La valdostana è da sogno, sapore così intenso e deciso, che non avevo mai provato prima, dispiaceva quasi mangiarla. I dolci tortini di mele e tiramisù buonissimi , forse sarò scontata ma il tiramisù un pelo troppo dolce

Secondo giorno: Tagliere di salumi dico solo che è doveroso ordinarlo Polenta carbonada esplosione di sapori molto saporita e gustosa. Il risotto ai mirtilli buonissimo ha un gusto dominante, ovviamente, di mirtilli, ma anche il caprino si fa sentire, forse la porzione abbondante da rivedere alla fine persiste troppo il caprino… è solo un feedback no critica;)

Il servizio attento, presente e molto empatico con i bimbi, non solo con il nostro.
