Bagni Ondina — Local services in Finale Ligure

Visited here at beginning of October just as the season was coming to an end. Weather was still wonderful so a day trip to the seaside was a must. The beach club we normally visit was closed so we tried this one instead. No comparison at all. From the very moment we talked to the staff it was clear we were going to have a substandard experience. Customer service was shockingly bad, the man was pointing here and there, not showing us anything or escorting us to a bed. Had to go upstairs to the restaurant to pay, then back down to find the toilet and changing room. The first toilet (with brown door) was locked. We found the other toilets next to the children’s play area, which we realised was also the changing rooms. Changing in a toilet was unpleasant. There were no lockers to put your belongings so had to take all our things to the sun bed with us. I suppose all of this is reflected in the price, only €20 for the day for two beds and an umbrella. There was one shower without privacy, so had to wash in swimwear. Nearer the exit there was an area to wash your feet. No lifeguard on duty. The place didn’t feel secure, people were able to access the beach from the street and the beach, with no staff visible anywhere. The man who served us when we first arrived quickly closed the office and left. So there were no staff anywhere at the beach club. Next time I saw him he was cursing because people had put trash in the wrong bin and it was the end of his world. Pool was closed....

The lifeguard is totally unprofessional, the bagni is more expensive than others but has smaller, non adjustable umbrellas Back to the worst - the lifeguard: these guys were pulling a teenager out, who did nonsense and did not listen, but the lifeguard escalated the situation by screaming and hitting while the teen was still in the water swimming and another lifeguard was putting his boat between the teen and the beach, when the teen finally arrived at the beach there were already to other lifeguards starting hitting him - in total 4 lifeguards punishing one teen starting a big crowd with nobody...

Nice place but more expensive than others. 30€ from 14-19 o’clock for a family on the very last row. Last row was not a problem for us but now you know what to expect. Very friendly service at the bar though. We picked this Bagni because of the pool and the slide. You have to wear a head protection thought which you can buy for 3€...
