Café Van Gogh — Restaurant in Finale Ligure

Nice establishment, too bad that the staff including the boss are crooks. I wanted to pay for my consumption at the price of €10 by contactless credit card, the waiter hands me the terminal (I check the amount which was €10) it doesn't work (it was actually wanted) then he starts again and asks him to insert the card and it works with the code, I leave and I put away my receipt a few minutes later and realize that the amount is 100€ so I go back to the bar and I can't find my server on the terrace, another server tells me that he has finished his service so I explain the situation, he accompany me to the bar to see the boss who did not want to know!! Since I entered my code, my bank could not reimburse me... A very nice scam!!! And I'm sure I'm not the first one this has happened to. To avoid...

It’s just THE place for aperitivo in Finale. It seems to me that all the bad reviews were for some other place, definitely not this one.

We’ve been coming here for 8 evenings straight and it’s been just perfect. Young passionate team which does this hard work playfully and with joy, incredible ambience. Incredible music and incredible people around.

The only downside is occasional smoking but that has nothing to do with this place: it’s everywhere.

Ottimo posto situato nel mezzo di finale e a pochi metri dal mare. Peccato in primis per i tanti piccioni sul tavolo che mangiano avanzi dei clienti andati via, data la incuranza nello sparecchiare subito i tavoli. Detto ciò la stella sta anche nel servizio. Ci siamo recati un mercoledì per fare un aperitivo per le 14.15 e alla richiesta ci è stato detto che "era troppo tardi per ricevere stuzzichini" e di conseguenza dover prendere qualcosa da cucina. Vabbhe, può capitare ma settimana dopo, sempre di mercoledì ci rechiamo alle 12.45 sempre per un aperitivo e ci viene risposto che " gli stuzzichini non vengono fatti nell'ora di pranzo per non intasare le richieste della cucina e quindi dovevamo prendere alla carta per forza".

Tagliare due pizzette e dare 4 salatini di numero non penso che crei tutto questo disagio, e non credo nemmeno ci sia "ORARIO" per l'aperitivo. Probabilmente è più facile fare cassa se qualcuno si prende due spritz e ordina qualcosa dalla...
