Da Pilade — Restaurant in Finale Ligure

Was lucky to reserve a table in person just as they were starting to open, after that I saw many people asking for a table and being told the next table was available in 2hrs….so I advise making a reservation if you want to eat at this restaurant. The location is central and convenient, and it was nice to sit on a pretty street to watch the world go by whilst having a meal. I went for the Angus burger - strangely is doesn’t come with a bread bun (I was informed when I was ordering) so not really a burger, only a patty. Was advised to go for medium cooked, and this always worries me as I think there is only one way to cook a burger, COOKED. The grilled vegetables were lukewarm and greasy, not the best. The patty was very tasty but it lacked an egg binder and because of this the patty crumbled every time you tried to cut it. The extra fries were tasty too, but would have preferred thick cut fries rather than the skinny fries that were served. Not a big fan of tomato ketchup normally, but this one was really good. Non-alcoholic beer was disappointing. The pizza was AMAZING, packed with flavours. Maybe it’s a local thing, the pizza base was quite different to “normal” pizza, but I enjoyed it. Service was very good. Prices were very good too. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, but be mindful that it focuses on meats so there are few options for those who...

Nice place, good pizza and flat bread. Rooms are nicely decorated and staff is polite and competent. bathroom was clean, at least the sinks. However, and this was a BIG drawback for me and my girlfriend, we were placed in a table near a larger group of people (a team or classroom, I don't know) that were speaking and shouting so loud that even having my girlfriend in front of me, we weren't able to hear each other. Not a place's fault...

Loved their pulled-pork burger! Love they have the option of grilled veggies as a substitute for french fries (genius idea!). It's my usual ''safe'' place to meet for a simple lunch with friends in town as it has a bit of everything. But definitely have their best options with their meats. Service is lovely, great staff! Did not try their dessert as we got gelato literally...
