House of Games Store — Local services in Padua

While on holiday in Venice last week, we travelled to Padua and visited this Absolute GEM of a store!! They didn't have the game we were looking for, but the owner of the shop couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. He offered us the chance to try out some of the games on offer and once we'd bought a game (Harmonies - which I very much recommend), he kindly sat with me, my wife and daughter to teach us the rules. We had so much fun learning our new game and chatting with him. This is the kind of boardgame store I'd normally only dream of and I am not aware of anything similar here in the UK. A place where you can play for FREE, get friendly, non-pushy advice, and where you can while away a few pleasant hours comfortably. I only wish we could have stayed longer!! This place is amazing. They have a great board game catalog, even if they don’t have it, they will get it for you. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They are always happy to help you find what you are looking for, or even suggest games according to your taste. The best part is that they have a dedicated space in the store with a large variety of games, so you can try them out…for free. They also have coffee, drinks and snacks, in case you get thirsty while playing. Over all, this is an amazing place to discover new games and...

Fantastico! Ottimo concept. ...un luogo dove puoi trovare non i soliti giochi commerciali da negozio di giocattoli, ma i GIOCHI da tavolo, tutte le nuove idee del momento, un mondo in continua espansione ed evoluzione, dagli strategici alle escape avventure più interattive! I bravissimi proprietari ti sanno spiegare i giochi e consigliare, (c'è persino un canale instagram e YouTube!). Ho trovato giochi interessantissimi e avvincenti e poi quei nuovi giochi (che adoro) per le serate in compagnia dove fare caciara e divertirsi da matti (con gli "unicorni instabili" e i "gattini esplosivi" ho assistito a scene che manco alle riunioni di condominio!). Bella l'idea dell'angolo dei giochi vintage da rivendere... Consiglio per una sera di spegnere la console e riscoprire questo mondo fatto di amici, interazione, ragionamenti e risate. Soprattutto ai genitori, consiglio di portarci i vostri figli e regalatevi un gioco, per stare più insieme, accendere il cervello e spegnere un pochino il video! I ragazzi sapranno consigliarvi e...
