I’ve never encountered such rude behavior in a convenience store, especially in Italy, where I’ve typically found people to be welcoming. The elderly woman working here checking us out was openly insulting American customers, assuming we didn’t understand Italian. Unfortunately for her, we do! Hearing her badmouthing us right in front of our faces was shocking and incredibly disrespectful. The store itself was unkempt, and the service matched the terrible attitude of rolling eyes and talking down to us. Absolute disgrace of a store owner or employee. We had been in about 3 times to buy a few groceries. Started to come in again and she yells at me "No Gelato" ok so only my wife went in. Returned later with my backpack to carry my groceries back up the long hill. I was sternly told "No Backpacks". Went back up the steep half mile to our room. Returned it was 7:00pm closing time. I just needed 2 small things. She told me "No cards" cash ok. In 20 seconds I had my 2 items she told me she "Had to go!" So I put the items back and left. What B**ch! Will never ever go...

Seen a few negative reviews for this place and don't understand why.

It's a bit wee for a supermarket but it's a wee town too. This place has everything you could possibly want and more with attentive and lovely staff. I visited on several occasions and every interaction was quick, efficient, and polite. The deli counter is fresh as you can imagine and very well stocked. Can't fault it at all and would definitely recommend.
