Having never been to Italy before we decided early on that Cinque Terre was going to be one of our stops. After a hot, hectic and fun three days in Florence we were picked up to make our way to Vernazza. Our evening was lovely (after the day trippers left), however we were disappointed to discover that there really wasn’t a sunset to be seen from Vernazza. The following morning we walked to Monterosso in the morning and then took the train down the coast to explore Corniglia before exploring Manarola and meeting up with Maria and Nicola from Hello Cinque Terre. They were super responsive throughout the planning and booking process so the bar had been raised for our time on the boat. The private sunset trip took us along the coast seeing all five villages from the water which gives you that amazing postcard view. This was the highlight of our trip so far and we doubt it will be eclipsed by anything else. I had the opportunity to go swimming with my daughters (10 & 13) in the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea. The antipasti and drinks were a treat we were not expecting (I don’t always pay attention when booking stuff). We made our way back down the coast and turned to face the...
Read moreMy husband and I and our four teenagers spent an afternoon with Nicola and Alessandro on the Cinque Terra coastline and it was one of our most happy memorable experiences as a family … From the start, as I was booking from the States, Maria was communicative, flexible and accommodating with our private tour … It was easy to find Nicola and Alessandro in Monterosso al Mare - they were on time and exactly where they said they would be … Alessandro was kind and engaging as he shared the history of the area, served delicious aperitivo and Prosecco, and coached everyone about diving off the boat and how to safely swim around it … Nicola was charming and engaging and the perfect captain and host. He clearly wanted all of us to feel safe and happy. In an area crowded with so many tourists, Nicola and Alessandro made us feel very welcome and were eager to share their beautiful corner of Italy with us. I HIGHLY recommend Hello Cinque Terre Boat Tour. It was worth...
Read moreMaria, Nicola, and Martino were honestly more than we could have hoped for. From the second we stepped on the boat they were warm, laid-back, and totally tuned in to what we needed. I was about to propose—super nervous, hands-shaking, the whole thing—and usually I freak out about doing anything in front of people. But with them? Idk, I just felt fine. They read the moment, gave us space when we needed it, and still jumped in with great tips and easy conversation whenever it felt right.
Nicola and Martino run a gorgeous boat and the whole vibe is pure Cinque Terre magic. They let you set the pace—sneak away for quiet moments or hang out and chat, your call. Honestly, they might be the nicest people we met in all of Italy. Best boat tour in Cinque Terre, hands down. We’ll be back for round two, no...
