This amazing pasta take away place is located 10 meters from shuttle bus stop across street. So it's very convenient if you just arrived to Manarola by car (via a shuttle) or if you are leaving, hopefully jumping on a bus instead climbing steep street to parking lots. PasTakeAway sells bus tickets🎟️ for this shuttle. This place gets busy around meal times and the wait can be 15-25min including queueing. Some negative reviews mentioned service. This can be explained once you realize that you may not get your entire order in a single delivery as different pasta has different cooking time. But service is attentive and expedient. And its worth it! Every pasta there is homemade by hand. We've tried every pasta on the menu. My kids loved Gnocchi Al Pesto, my wife and I fell in love with local Linguria dish called Pansoti, which can be compared to ravioli but it's filled with cheese and variety of herbs. The sauce for Pansoti is a mixture of nutmeg, pine nuts, cheese and probably the same herbs as the filling. They come about 10-12 pieces per order at €9. My wife said it was the best pasta dish she ever tried. 5 stars! 🌟 They also serve breakfast items,...
Read moreWe stopped there for breakfast. The prices were shown outside the shop on the boards. We asked for a few things and they didn't have most of them. What we did end up getting was underwhelming, small and overpriced. On top of that, we were given a total value and paid by card (at that point we didn't know anymore what the total was given there are no prices inside). No receipt was given. I then see a notification from Revolut saying I paid in GBP, when all over Italy you pay in EUR. I asked Revolut, they confirmed the merchant converted in GBP to make money - hence screwed me up cause of the exchange rate...then I added up the prices on the board and realised the store charged me 3EUR more than they should. So double scamming on their side. DO...
Read moreDefinitely recommended. The food is good, delicious and simple. The flavors and taste is homely. Go somewhere else if you want a run of the mill “restaurant style high volume and highly synthetic pasta”. This is really Italian food, the way you do it at home. You know what that means? It’s going to be enjoyable but it may also be inconsistent (not my experience). Additionally the service feels slow because you are just out on the street. The time taken to cook a plate is just about the time you spend in a restaurant waiting for a dish (10-15 minutes) while you eat your antipasti. Genuine, home made and hand made Italian food. Support real, artisanal cooking and eat here when you’re...
